Dual XHD7720 In Dash Motorized Tagging Dual7720
Love the sound! attractive and sleek design.
eh So My boyfriend had a radio similiar to this one but it was smaller. so the buttons on his stopped workingso I bought him this one the radio came quick there was nothing wrong with the seller but the radio kind of sucks.I read reviews before purchasing it but now I'm just waiting to return it after only like 3 days. He has a mitsubishi lancerand his radio tilts a little bit upwards so the face plate that comes down doesn't go down very far so you can'tsee the screen at all.
Dual7720 The customer support took two weeks to respond to Email and then Carlos said that the warrenty starts the day you purshase the Item and not the day you recieve it. The radio only lasted one year then went to a dead mode which I lost all power and the instruction booklet had NO instructions on how to take the faceplate off. If you have problems with the radio due not exspect support from dual what so ever. you will wait forever and they will always say it will cost you to have the radio fixed which would be cheaper to just buy a new radio. The head quarters is in Heathrow Florida. The few good things is the HD sound Quality and I was able to pick up radio stations that where over 800 miles away. Wish they had cables for MP3 players not Ipods.
average You get what you pay for. That's basically what this is. Sound quality is not the best. Could barely power the speakers that I put in. Does not deliver good bass even though bass is set to high. Hissing sound when using ipod/iphone function. Did I mention that it felt cheap? Yes it does cheap and flimsy. Radio reception is poor. Picked up only 1 HD station and does not even pick up most of my local stations. Word to the wise pay the extra 20 dollars or so and get a Sony Pioneer Kenwood Alpine or another good name brand.
Great product for an amazing price I love Dual's decks! I had my last one for over four years in 3 different cars. Great product easy install sounds way better than stock.
Full of Features Unfortunately They Don't Work The Dual XHD7720 seems like a feature rich high end unit with all the bells and whistles. After using it for two days I'm returning it however because it simply DOESN'T WORK correctly. The unit would crash after 2040 minutes of use and either forget which buttons did what or become unresponsive. Shoddy is the only word I can use to describe this unit. Also the remote didn't work.I've never been as frustrated at a product as I have about the XHD7720 and I'm never going to buy anything made by Dual again.I also used the BTM60 Bluetooth module with it it worked well for about 10 minutes before losing connection with my iphone. I don't know if that was a fault of the XHD7720 or the BTM60. I'm not going to buy another Dual radio to try it out with though.

stopped working after 1 year 3 months I had a bad feeling when this unit arrived. Worked ok for a while then after about 9 months various buttons started malfunctioning. Very cheap parts. the most cheap feeling stereo I have ever purchased. I wish I went with my gut and returned this piece of garbage in the beginning. I have since bought a pioneer deh 4300 and it works great. If you have an ipod the pioneer 4300 works great with it. I have an ipod touch. I wish I went with the pioneer in the beginning instead this unit. I wanted hd radio. It works alright but I live in orange county just south of L.A. It cuts out enough to be annoying. Factor that in with the extremely cheap radio its housed in and one year later its done. Not surprising it broke so fast when you see how cheap this thing is made. As far as hd radio goes when its not cutting out it sounds great. I think I will wait until they get hd radio working better before I go this route again. Dual should be ashamed of making radios this bad.
Dual cool lights and sound It's really a good rigid product despite the motorized sliding face. THere are more sub channels to hear and the sound quality is even better. THe sliding face is a cool idea yet it's hard to see the back screen. one should peak to read whats on that screen.THe remote is tricky one should aim in a certain direction to get it work.overall its nice for the price. I reocommend.

Kenwood Kvt 516 In Dash Navigation Receiver Bad ass! But more expensive than meets the eye
So far so good. This is an item I should wait until I have used it for a few months to rate. Well I have it installed and so far everything is working as it should. I have one beef that I wish Kenwood would address.. They have a heavy muti plug on the back for the video that has a small 1/4 by 1/2 inch plug that plugs into a small piece of the circuit board in the back. The plug don't lock and I'm very concerned that the pressure is going to damage the board I right away had real problems as I was trying to figure out why the backup camera did not work and it was due to the cord bending on the board on the back of the unit. If this connection fails the unit will be worthless.
Love it so far Bought and installed a few days ago really added some flavor to my speakers and car in general. After toying with it for a few minutes I figured out all of the functions and I have it working to it's full potential. Great radio great experience with seller.
Good Value Some Cons but overall satified So far Some issues with this unit but overall it functions pretty well.CONS1 Sub Woofer control keeps turning off for no apparent reason. The memory seems to not want to keep in the unit. Every once in a while the sub and audio controls will be greyed out and cannot be turned on.2 The angle of the monitor can be set however the unit never remebers the last position and resets every time I turn it on.3 Pretty difficult to customize the unit has 9 or so accessories that can be attached but you cannot disable the buttons if you dont have these devices so basically it goes to a blank screen ie Navigation bluetooth controls.5 USB must be USB 1 because it takes a long time to read the flash drive.6 Ipod classic and 1st Generation Iphone seem to freeze when using the Ipod controls.7 The unit shut off errantly a few times at the beginning but has'nt after the first week. This may have been because of a power wire that was not adequate. After changing to a larger power wire it seems to have resolved this problem.8 Hard to navigate the DVD menus unless you have the remote.Pros1 Awesome picture for the DVD playback is flawless.2 Sound quality is great 0 distortion.3 Sub and EQ controls rival $300 units with the same functinality.4 Geat buy for the money since this same unit sells for $750 at Best Buy.
Slam dunk for the price Very happy with this Kenwood product. The screen display is vivid andthe controls are very easy to use. The potential for expanding with this unitwith add ons make it even more attractive.I currently have the Garmin GPS navigation unit add on and it worksflawlessly.
Bad ass! But more expensive than meets the eye Well designed and does everything you want but besides the price of the unit expect to pay $450$1200 for the additional wiring harness modules parts and labor to install. Wiring harness $80 Installation Gear $20 iPod Adapter $30 Antenna Adapter $12 and if your vehicle didn't already come stock with these modules HD Radio Module $100 Satellite Radio Module $50 Navigation Module $300 and Back Up Camera Module $300. Don't forget labor probably $275 a day to have a professional audio shop install.

Naxa NCA 670 Detachable Stereo Compact maybe I'd like it if....
Great for price Naxa NCA670 is great for price. Was going to find a cheap junk yard stock radio glad I didn't now because this was a great deal. Although I mostly just listen to cd's because I haven't had one in so long. My ride rides a little rough so it doesn't skip as bad as I thought it would just over the bad bumps I take fast. Stereo picks up pretty good and I live a ways away from most major cities stations. Haven't even tried auxin plug yet but its cool to know its there considering you can't hardly find an am/fm cassette for this price. I like the EQ setting which you wouldn't expect either for the $. Couple of quirks like no preset radio stations and can't see time/clock when listening to radio haven't read instructions yet. Others complained about backwards controls ie. volume on right vs. left and changing tuner with a knob these things don't bother me for the price its obvious what they are anyway. I bought this with Scosche CJ1278B and it worked great for my 97 Cherokee like amazon said it would even though the packaging didn't list my vehicle listed Grand Cher. but not Cher.
Great Stereo For The Price I bought this based mainly on the price. It was easily installed and had pretty good sound. It sounded quite a lot better the the radio it replaced. The only thing I did not like was that it stayed lit up on the display non stop. Sometimes that was kind of annoying at night because while it was easy to read the display sometimes I just did not want to see it. I put a piece of tape on it to use as a light shield and for me that was a solved problem. As far as the quality and playability of this goes I found this to be an excellent radio for the price.
Big sound for the buck! I bought this radio cd player for my antique chevy nova. I mainly use it to and from shows or just a sunday drive. I wanted to install it under the dash which I did with a custom bracket i built. Its intended to go into the dash. Its easy to wire up and the sound is pretty good. For my occassional use I find it to be perfect for the price. Ive had units costing into the hundreds and Im not dissapointed with the sound the Naxa puts out. The Aux jack in front was one of the main selling points for me. Its easy to use and works great with my mp3 player.
Confusing I never got the thing installed. The directions were a couple of pictures. Hello some of us have never installed a car radio before! So I sent it back. Couldn't figure it out at all.
Ripped off Dont waste your time on this product. I had it installed in my car and it worked for three days and hasnt worked since. Now I have to pay to have it removed. I feel ripped off.
online radio The easy installation was great and the player matched up to my colors of my dashboard and interior perfectly. The only problem was that the radio dont pick up stations to well at least not in this area.
A terrible product From its flimsy interface to its horrible radio reception from its lack of a user guide to its finicky CD player this unit is a complete waste of money. Caveat emptor.
A birthday present well received I got this for my sister on her birthday. It has an AUX jack where you can plug your iPod in. It is also easy to read and sounds really great.

Really good for the money especially if you use an mp3 player. I drive a 2002 Nissan Maxima and replaced the 6 cd changer with thisit wasnt installed properly and the speaker kept screwing up. I listen to metaljust cd'smp3 player now and it sounds just as good maybe better than the original player I had. Its got a loudness button that really adds to the sound. My only gripes are if you have scratched cd's they either wont play or will really skip. The other which should only affect newer cars is that my volume/radio controls are also on the steering wheel but they dont work on thisor it MAY have been installed like that. However I got a zunehd for christmas and I just plug it into the aux in and what a difference it makes. I cant really comment on the radio since I dont listen to it.If you need to replace your car radio I definetely recommend this and I recommend using an mp3 player with this too.Update I broke my zune so I ordered a new one and for a few days Im using cd's and the radio. Theres a HUGE difference in sound quality with an mp3 player vs cd's/radioI used a 2 gb sansa once too. The cd's skip way too much and takes too long to read them.

Does Everything Radio !! I bought this for my wife's Kia and she loves it ! This radio can be programmed to a certain staion to come on at a certain time. Android + Pandora + BT = AWSOME If you have an Android phone with a recent Pandora version installed bluetooth paired with this JVC KDR730BT you are going to love it as I do. Very cool that I can have the phone in my pocket get in my vehicle and the the head starts Pandora on the phone and music plays. Everything you can do in the Pandora app on the phone you can do on the head including thumbs up/down change station skip song pause show artist and song info etc. It's really quite cool!Of course all the other audio stuff like a radio including RDS CD & USB that both play MP3's and an aux port all work as advertised. On top of this bluetooth pairing to your phone for a nice handsfree setup. It comes with an external wired microphone I mounted mine inside my dash instrument cluster comes with 2faced tape. Pyle PLR14MPF In Dash FM MPX Shaft why didn't I listen to the bad reviews?
Great Knob Style SD card Car Stereo Player I looked every where in stores and pawn shops for Shaft Style Radio for my old International Work Truck . This one will play loud enough to over come the truck sound for sure . and it plays a Memory SD card only 2 Gigs but still 400 songs! it will not skip. Great deal for the money.Rich.
Worked about 5 seconds Bought this radio for my 86 Chevy truck because I didn't want to cut the dash and this is the ONLY shaft style radio still available that is not $250+. Installed it and it worked about 5 seconds then static. Tuning the manual tuner sounds like badly mismatched gears turning. Took it back out and sent it back for a refund. I guess I will be cutting the dash. Oh well it was worth a try.
Don't buy this. My original positive impression is now totally negative UPDATE 9/26/2011 In a nutshell don't buy this. Not even worth it even if it was free with free shipping. Now that the MP3 player is dead on top of the other issues this unit has had since installation my best advice to people is not to bother. Read my original review and see that I liked it at first but over time and really not that much use it's a dead piece of junk waiting to be removed.
Junk There is not enough power on this radio to power two 4 watt Pyle speakers. You have to turn the audio way up and then it just gets fuzzy. Don't waste your money. I was looking for a radio for an older MG Midget that would fit and this was all I found without paying big bucks. Ah yes you get what you pay for. Again don't waste your money.
why didn't I listen to the bad reviews? I really wanted all the reviews to be wrong. But they're actually spot on.Junk junk junk!I figured my standards were low enough because all I listen to is one AM channel in my 86 Toyota so I would be safe. Problem with that is the stupid thing won't even go up to 1180 where it needs to be! Beyond that it won't even hold a channel if I manage to get one. Big bummer. Shop elsewhere for this subpar radio Spent the time installing in my '71 C10 Pickup and the shafts would not go the distance as advertised. I installed under the dash just to get some tunes. When it was all over and done with the tuner was utter crap. Couldn't listen to a single station without the volume going up and down and station going in and out. Couldn't find a station as the tuner indicator is way off. Yes the antenna was hooked up appropriately yes the radio was installed correctly. It is simply not worth it at all. Returned to Amazon. Boo HisssPros Quite inexpensive MP3 Player works from USB stick and SD cardCons Shaft spread 5.5 not the advertised 6.5 Tuner completely unreliable would not hold station more than a block Shaft for tuner side turns in opposite direction of the station indicator. Tuner indicator no where close to station tuned. Wires are VERY thin. Faceplate will not fit if shafts are adjusted to the maximum.
Unique and Basic Radio/SD/USB Verb Basic Unit. Analog tuner drifts with weak stations. Need to set up the SD Card in order you want since you can't move around the MP3's easily. For the money it is great for the motorcycle.
bad buy price seemed to good to be true. if you look up this on pyles webpage it is $56. just hooked this up. mounting is not as listed will not adjust to 6 spread it says high power what a joke bearly powers the 20w stock speakermono. and the radio face dial #'s do not match up with the station you tune to. also the usb port will not play any one of my mp3 players. this unit is a piece of junk. but you get what you pay for. I just hope the the speakers that i just ordered will be better from pyle. but it was packed very nice.
gary hoyt Adj. shaft knobs do not span to 6.5 as the specs. state. . The max span is 5.5 instead. Customer service long distance number is overworked and almost useless. Sent back to Amazon.

Clarion VZ401 7 Inch Multimedia Bluetooth Works and Looks Great
Clarion Not what they used to be!! this product I had high hopes for really high hopes for. First installed I was like damn this is awasome.
Good DVD player I don't know where to begin about this DVD Player. I've installed it and have been testing it for a while now. This player is awesome. I put it in a 2001 grand prix gt. I was worried that the screen was going to hit my air vents but you can adjust the angle of the screen. I have not used the bluetooth or sirius. This unit does not come with an iPod cable but you can run your computer cable to the usb port on this and control it from the screen with the ipod receiving a charge as well you must buy a specialized cable from clarion to hook directly into your ipod. The unit does allow you to upgrade to navigation later on if you want to add that as well as a rear view camera to be added later on as well. I do have 2 12 Rockford p3's hooked up to this as well as a 1000W amp and this unit handles them beautifully well maybe even a little too well because of how loud my car can get. I did ground my cable and am able to watch movies with the flip of a switch. It is quite easy to do I know almost nothing about cars and I did this myself. There are so many features about this player I haven't even gotten to explore yet. The only downside to this player is that if you are listening to music lets say Metallica's S&M album where the music is continuous from track to track this player does pause between tracks when the album is supposed to be seamless between tracks. Still overall I'm more than happy to have this DVD player in.
Works and Looks Great Haven't had the VZ401 installed long but have already played around with bluetooth. I use Sirius all the time and love seeing the full song channel number/category artist all on the same screen. I have a parking brake bypass but haven't had time to throw a DVD in to see if it works yet. I will update later after trying out the DVD function.
Wow. Save your money. This is a VERY basic run of the mill unit. I guess the ONLY thing nice about it is the built in bluetooth phone integration with bluetooth music streaming. I was able to easily connect my Andriod to it and with the setting enabled it will reconnect every time without much fuss.Now for the negative1. The volume up/down buttons on the front are CLUNKY. If you are used to circular volume knobs stay away.2. The screen on the unit I had did not open fully by itselfI had to push the screen manually into position. I might have gotten a bad one here but wow after spending this much money you'd think they'd at least get this right. 1 word Cheap.3. No high/low pass filter. I thought I could live without this but no I can't. There is nothing worse than distorted sound because you are trying to push bass onto a mid speaker. Not only that you can ruin a sub by pushing high frequencies to it. Sure my amps have adjustments built in but do I really want to have to adjust it from my trunk? Nahhh4. No Graphic Equalizer at all This unit comes equipped with Bass and Treble settings only that affect all speakers including the sub. What a joke This isn't the 1970s.5. Screen doesn't automatically close when you turn off the car. I looked for a setting to enable this. There isn't one. pushing a button and waiting for it to close everytime before you can shut off your car Annoying.6. No detachable face plate so any thief dumb enough to steal this unit will have no problem hooking it up to their jalopy.7. Touch screen is noticeably unresponsive.8. The controls are not layed out in a way that makes sense I guess that's my take on it anyway.

Philips PET741B 37 Portable Player This was a present
good I bought this and i have to admit i was pretty excited about it. When i recieved it in the mail i was satisfied. it worked pretty well for the first year and then it started to flicker and the sound went whack. But it was a good dvd player while it lasted. So if you're debating whether or not to get it i'd say look around more and you'll probably find a nicer one. If you don't this one is still a good option.
Battery does not hold charge This was a gift that was not openned right away. The battery does not hold any charge. It must stayed plugged in to watch a movie defeating the portable option.
Great little DVD player Bought this to take to the gym while I do cardio. Has a great feature too turn it off and it resumes playing where you left off next time you power it up! Works great battery lasts for a long time. BTW the trick to ANY battery is to not completely discharge and to not to leave on the charger any longer than needed to recharge. I see complaints about batteries but I have had the same battery in my cell phone Lithium electric scooter Lead acid and model plane NiCad for years without any problems by being careful in this way. I use a timer to shut off the charger if I can't be there to do it myself.

This was a present It semms to work well as far as I know. Haven't heard any complaints from my family member. He was very happy when he got it. I assume it works great. Did come with all said accessories. The LCD truly will make it wonderful to watch movies in.

Great item works great under a lot of stress We have had 3 of these in the past 4 years. Currently we have 2 one just broke. They do take A LOT of stress. Dropping crushing etc. And still last about 23 year perfectly. Which I think is great for the price. So great that I ordered another one to replace the one that FINALLY broke after 3 years of ABUSE. I will buy again if still available after my 2 that I currently own break down! Amazon has always had the best price too.
Great little player This worked wonderfully for my 8 year old and our long 14 hour car ride. Only problem I have is that it was sent from the dist without the car adaptor and it was a very difficult process getting it resolved. They were not helpful and I ended up having to contact Phillips directly who's customer service was supurb! Overall this product is great.
Very happy! Turned out to be a great gift I bought this player as a gift for my husband who is a security guard. He spends long hours in a guard shack and likes to have some small entertainment. I got this for his birthday and he is very happy with it. Its small and easy for him to carry back and forth to work. He has a small radio a small tv and now this dvd player. He couldn't be happier. It has an ac adapter a vehicle adapter and battery. You can use it anywhere! The wide screen gives a really good aspect for movie watching. the built in speaker is alittle tinny but not to bad. But if you hook up a good small set of speakers its really nice.Product came in perfect conditionbut alittle later than I expected. I would recommend this portable dvd player to anyone.

Sound Storm Laboratories SD160UA Wireless Perfect Conversion Van DVD Player
multifunctional and all needed cables etc. included We have been using this for about 1 month now in our van to complement the old VHS system. The unit came with a surprising number of cables to fit different purposes for installation. Nothing else was needed to complete the install for my application. The remote sensor for the remote control is a particularly nice feature so that the unit can be enclosed within the audio/video compartment in the van but the remote will still work since it has as direct line of site to the remote sensor. Comparitively the remote for the old VHS unit that this DVD player complements requires the cabinet door to be open for the line of site.In my A/V cabinet I do not have access to the constant 12v that is needed for a complete install so wired the constant 12v to the accessory 12v. Since this power shuts off when the vehicle shuts off I thought we would lose the position of the movie but this does not happen. Even completely cutoff from power the unit recalls the play position.Maybe all of this is normal and obvious to someone exeperienced with this type of installation.
Works good. Installed this in my Z71 Suburban that hauls the family around. We used it while driving half way across the US twice and it works as advertised. A little slow at loading but I have not had a single skip with it even when going offroad. As previously mentioned there is no SVideo output. I wired the entire thing up to switched power and it still remembers the position of the movie. Only thing I have to do is turn up the volume each time. If you need an inexpensive solution then this is it.
Perfect Conversion Van DVD Player I purchased this DVD player for use in an older conversion van. It has been a great addition. The primary reason I wanted to write a review though was to compliment the company's customer service. I had a question on wiring since the older van didn't have an exact connector for the player. They were very quick to respond and easily reconciled my questions. The issue was resolved and it has worked perfectly ever since.
not as descibed i just received this unit and haven't even got it hooked up to power and i'm already unhappyproduct description states it has an S vidio output it does NOT also says it comes with cigarette lighter adapter plug..it does NOT..
DVD Player I received the product promply and the instalation was a breeze. everything works fine. Now I have to wait for Tview to get there act together to send me back my reciever that was defective. All in all very affordable nice piece of equipment.
It is fine The installation was pretty straight forward wish the manual stated the maximum watt the remote line can handle it would have caused me less grieve.
