Pyle radio reveiw Ok 1st of all right off the bat i am pleased and i would buy one for my other vehicle. However i have a few minor complaints. 1. its not real bright in the the daylight but still bright enough to operate there may be some brightness settings that i have not discovered yet but IDK 2.
Pure junk After install the unit was operational. It took a couple weeks to get the bluetooth function to work with my phone. The microphone on the unit however is poor and you are better off just using speakerphone. The reasons i bought this device was for the bluetooth function and ipod use. After plugging my ipod in and selecting the ipod function on the unit the radio states that ipod use is not installed on the radio. I was able to use the aux jack to play the music but i did not have ipod control or charging for the ipod. I sucked it up and pressed on. After 1 month of use the radio stopped turning on and off with the ignition. I got by using the on and off switch. I wasnt happy but pressed on. 2 weeks later the radio shut completely off and no longer works. I checked all the fuses and wiring up to it my career field is electronics repair and everything is good up to the radio. I reinstalled the factory radio and it is working just like it did before. Maybe the unit i got was a lemon. Either way i will never buy a Pyle piece of equipment ever again. If you are serious about buying this type or radio i will sell you mine.Edit Contacted the seller and they seem to be more than willing to take the product back for free repairs all i have to pay is shipping. To clarify i have no problems with the seller only this specific product.
Pyle.. I was not very happy with this product. The price is great and it has a lot of features but it just didn't work for me. The sliding face stopped working after 3 days. The clock didn't work which was extremely annoying and it made my after market speakers and sub sound terrible. I replaced the product with a pioneer head unit after 1 week. Now my system sound 100 times better and cleaner. Btw I have Pyle speakers sub and amp they all are awesome.
great Quality Great unit and unbeleivable price. the bluetooth works better than some more popular brands.Also fast loading for cd or dvd sd cards.The sound quality is better then my old oneand you really cannot beat the price. i connected my rear view camera and works unbeleivableand has a great picture quality.
Poor Quality Various functions on unit stopped working after less than 24hrs. Touch screen stopped working remote worked sporadically rear camera video ceased working etc Uninstalled and returned the unit immediately. I must say the seller refunded my money right away so the seller I would and do recommend. I do not recommend this item. Sorry.

The touch controls are very sensitive but you soon get the hang of it. Well I wanted that and got more for around $100. This thing also surprised me with the additional features I didnt need but why not have D? Has an SD slot 16GB tv tuner 200w max speaker output and many little controls to perfect picture audio woofer and others. You can even hook a game console to it. And 1 model up for around 175 i think you can get bluetooth full touchscreen and navigation. Now i did opt for the simple $100 PTID 3600 model but as you can see you get much more. Now I did notice that the sensitized touch controls on the unit doesn't respond to well and i think hear some distortion at high volumes i have high quality speakers and got everything professionally installed but as long as you keep it at a reasonable volume sounds amazing really does but nothing a high quality class d 4 channel amp couldn't fix. Puts out plenty of speaker power if you do not want to get too crazy or expensive. When you use the jack in on the front even if your device is at high volumeit seems to lower sound quality a little I use a Samsung Moment Droid w/ Pandora. MP3 cd's MP3's on SD & DVD's sound crispy. Just Ok I read some reviews here where people weren't able to get video to play out of their iPhone properly with this cable. Initially I had the same problem but after doing some research on the JVC website there was an updated pdf that said to be able to get video out from most iphone apps you have to set the control mode on your JVC head unit for control type of External not ipod. This isn't well documented in the stereo's user manual. Once I did this it worked just fine and I was able to watch Netflix and use the Motion X navigation from my iphone.I only gave this cable 3 stars because it is a little on the short side. Before even attempting to install it I wanted to bench test it and wired it straight to a battery to make sure everything was going to work especially with the motorized screen. After powering it on the screen came part of the way out and then went back in and would not come back out. Then after removing power and reconnecting it the screen came out and seemed to be working fine. I tried to adjust/tilt the screen as I was going through the buttons and it tilted forward but would not tilt back with the other button so then the screen would not shut. When I hit the close button it would tilt go part way in open and everything in between but would not shut again. So back in the box it went very dissapointed and upset. I never had a chance to use any of the features so I can't comment on the interface but I personally would not buy another product from power acoustik. I should have known better but I expected it to at least work I would not recommend this product to anyone save your money and buy a better unit that will work out of the box as described. I'd give it 0 stars but I had to select 1. I went with a pioneer 3300bt and am very pleased with it well worth the extra money. Very nice unit Purchased this unit about a month ago and so far the unit does what it is suppose to do. Mind you we as humans like all the bells and whistles for a cheap price but at the same time we must understand we can't always have the best for cheap unless we steal it. Just like some of the reviews on this page the removeable faceplate or lack there of is one thing I don't like about the unit because for one it is way too small and could be lost easily if you get careless and it doesn't sho potential thieves the plate is missing but without the faceplate the radio does not work. To be safe especially people with soundsystems like me invest in a car alarm to give you an extra layer os security and peace of mind. My whole system is Power Acoustik from the tweeters to the subs and everything in between and I am happy with the products they have for what I use it for and the sound is killer. will be adding the navagation unit in the future because navagation on the phone sometimes is not that reliable considering that the phone has to run so many things at once. Everything works well on my unit which is good considering the other unit I had before I got this one also Power Acoustik had some issues and I had to return it. When i installed it the screen would not clear the top lip between the AC dials and where the radio was to be mounted. When the screen flips up and back. Others complained about backwards controls ie. volume on right vs. left and changing tuner with a knob these things don't bother me for the price its obvious what they are anyway. I bought this with Scosche CJ1278B and it worked great for my 97 Cherokee like amazon said it would even though the packaging didn't list my vehicle listed Grand Cher. but not Cher. Great Stereo For The Price I bought this based mainly on the price. It was easily installed and had pretty good sound. It sounded quite a lot better the the radio it replaced. The only thing I did not like was that it stayed lit up on the display non stop. Sometimes that was kind of annoying at night because while it was easy to read the display sometimes I just did not want to see it. I put a piece of tape on it to use as a light shield and for me that was a solved problem. As far as the quality and playability of this goes I found this to be an excellent radio for the price. Big sound for the buck! I bought this radio cd player for my antique chevy nova. I mainly use it to and from shows or just a sunday drive. I wanted to install it under the dash which I did with a custom bracket i built. Its intended to go into the dash. Its easy to wire up and the sound is pretty good. For my occassional use I find it to be perfect for the price. Ive had units costing into the hundreds and Im not dissapointed with the sound the Naxa puts out. The Aux jack in front was one of the main selling points for me. Its easy to use and works great with my mp3 player. Confusing I never got the thing installed. The directions were a couple of pictures. Hello some of us have never installed a car radio before! So I sent it back. Couldn't figure it out at all. Ripped off Dont waste your time on this product. I had it installed in my car and it worked for three days and hasnt worked since. Now I have to pay to have it removed. The only problem was that the radio dont pick up stations to well at least not in this area. A birthday present well received I got this for my sister on her birthday. It has an AUX jack where you can plug your iPod in. It is also easy to read and sounds really great. maybe I'd like it if. Maybe I'd like it if I could get it to work. I don't think it has anything to do with the radio though. So I can't give a proper review. Really good for the money especially if you use an mp3 player. I drive a 2002 Nissan Maxima and replaced the 6 cd changer with thisit wasnt installed properly and the speaker kept screwing up. I listen to metaljust cd'smp3 player now and it sounds just as good maybe better than the original player I had. Its got a loudness button that really adds to the sound. My only gripes are if you have scratched cd's they either wont play or will really skip. The other which should only affect newer cars is that my volume/radio controls are also on the steering wheel but they dont work on thisor it MAY have been installed like that. However I got a zunehd for christmas and I just plug it into the aux in and what a difference it makes. I bought this radio from a seller on Ebay for $109 and it included shipping to Hawaii. It is a very good radio and I really like the multiple colors of the display. You can also set it to remain on the color that you like. It is not that hard to operate. Only drawback is the display stays on after turning the radio off if you wire it to able to play with the ignition off. I have it mounted in my boat and I like playing the radio when we're stopped. So I have it wired to always be on without having to turn on the key. Only way to turn off the display is to release the faceplate. Not a big deal to do this. The only problem I has was that when I opened it it would hit the thing so I had to figure out how to make it set out further. Everything about this is great! 220 watts makes it super loud. I was never really a fan of dual audio but I thought of give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I hated my pioneer. This has bright colors. The sound quality is fantastic but that also depends on the speakers. It does have sub outputs. The only complaint I have about this is my subs were hitting so much harder after I got this and i don't know how but it blew my subs. My amp wouldn't kick off for some reason when it got too loud. But oh well. Maybe it just happened. Has many options as well. You can have a cd with different folders. So you can have one cd with say metallica and have different folders with as many albums as the cd can hold. I love how long the aux chord is. I wired mine close to the deck but I couldve put it any where I wanted really. The remote works well. I love the case it came with to put the faceplate in. So you can take it anywhere without scratching it. You can set a volume so when you turn it on it's not blasting if you had it loud before. Has all the settings you need. It really does. I could see this product being $250. It is very nice. Good deal! I loved the look and uncommon design of this CD player for my boyfriend. Love it Great Product! Good radio good power nice look easy to operate. BUT i wouldn't get another one of these simply because of the limited sound settings. I'm talking about mid control. There is only bass and treble and i don't appreciate lacking in sound control I like full spectrum equalizers you may not.. Complicated Flashy Stolen This deck has a lot of features and is very pretty. Unfortunately it is not easy to get used to buttons are small and some functions are ridiculous. A month after installing this deck in my girls car it was stolen. I went a picked up a 15$ sony deck that does everything that this deck does but does not look nearly as flashy.I am not saying this is a bad deck because it was stolen her fault for leaving face plate on.I am saying there are better decks out there for cheaper that are more user friendly. its ok not really pleased excellent transaction!
