  • Display does not work I think I saw a similar posted problem on Amazon some weeks ago when I was shopping but that was for a different model Dual radio. So maybe this is a factory systemic problem? All Duals may have this issue? This is a brand new unit and the display doesn't light or is extremely dim. Also the CD memory goes to the beginning of the track instead of where it stopped when the car is off. This is very annoying to me. I have not tried the USB feature yet to see if that does the same thing. I also wasn't too impressed with the sound quality either. The bass and treble controls seemed to be very limited. So maybe this particular radio is defective in other ways too since I read that many other reviewers liked this model's sound a lot. This is replacing a JVC that sounded ok but did not play WMA files.
Very Nice I just put this into my wife's car the other day. So far it is doing awesome. The guy complaining about poor/low sound clearly did not connect it properly mine will very easily get louder than you want to be in the car with running stock speakers. I haven't checked everything on it out but the radio and SD Card players work excellent. It reads ID3 tags better than most radios in this price range it actually displays album artist track name etc. Looks nice a really good blue that's not too bright or too dim. The faceplate feels pretty solid to me but the volume control does feel like something you could snap off if you had a good grip on it and hit a big bump. The obvious solution to that is to not mess with the knob on a bumpy road there is a remote anyway. They sell these at my local auto parts store for $80.I have no complaints at all so far and I'll update this if anything goes wrong.
great stereo This was for my son's first car. he had someone install it and it's perfect. Works well with his new amp.
Decent CD player for the price I ordered this CD player based on 2 factors it had a SD card slot and the low price. Obviously I know because of the price it was not going to be a high end unit. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase. There were only 2 things so far that caused me to not give this the full 5 star rating. It is difficult to search through MP3 cd's and the SD card as it has a search function character or file rather than allowing you to skip from one folder to the next. I've probably just gotten used to being able to skip folders sorted alphabetically by artist rather than searching by spelling out the names. More than likely something I'll be able to adapt to over time. The other factor that determined why I did not give this the full 5 star rating is that it just does not have the sound quality of any of my other in dash cd players that I own. Obviously you get what you pay for and I do not regret my decision to purchase this cd player.
    Great product
love it i really like this cd player.easy worth 100 bucks. cool colorseasy to use..the usb ipod connector on the front of the faceplate is sweet havent needed one cd. thanks dual and amazon.
Dual Radio installed this on my own car and decided to get it for my father's as well. This is a great product easy to use and great features.
bad ideal THIS ITEM IS WHAT YOU PAY IS WHAT YOU GET.THIS ITEM SOUND IS VERY POOR AND LOW .THE USB HAVE A PROBLEM HOLDING IN THE CABLE FOR GOOD CONNECTIONAND THE SD READER SOUND IS REAL LOW TO.
Sufficient but not great For the price it's a nice radio. It has good sound good reception and the USB/SD card feature is handy. But a few little things make this radio a little bit annoying too.Small annoyances include the brightness of the display and its readability. It seems to have glare on it no matter what angle the sun or dome light is at and the blue display is rather dim so you have to cover the display with your hand just about any time you want to read it during the day.
so so Great stereo for the price sounds great looks good my 2 complaints. U cannot see display very dim & 2 every song that plays on a cd there is a lag at beginning of play. that may be minor to some but to me it bugs will return for a different stereo.

  • Short Life I bought this player in mid July and the kids used it until about the first of October and it gave up the ghost it will no longer read a DVD. Amazon's return window was up in August. I will need to check the Manufactuer Website to see if there is any resolution available. Thsi is the second of this type of DVD player I have owned and they all appear to be very poor quality.
It worked for our vaca but not long after I researched MANY dual dvd players and all I could find were unreliable reviews on tons of dual dvd players. I did not want to spend a ton of money especially with the reviews being so bad so I was really attempting to find a cheaper one so if it broke oh well it wasn't so expensive. I finally found the Axion brand which I had never heard of but it had good reviews although not a ton of reviews. Originally I thought this was an EXCELLENT purchase. We have had it over a month and used it on a 14 hour trip to North Carolina and back and have for several smaller car rides as well. It has worked without problems and my daughter LOVED it. It was easy to install easy to change dvd's and the remote will come in handy in the future. THENit stopped playing any DVD we had and said no disc. We tried brand new ones right out of the package as well as others and it would play NOTHING. It was a lifesaver for the trip but had no longevity at all. Would not say a total waste because it kept me sane for a long car ride but I wish I was still able to use it.
2 broken devices in 4 months When my old Axion dualscreen player broke I bought this new model to replace it. It broke after 4 or 5 uses. Given my good experience with the prior Axion model I ordered another. This one wasnt working from the start. We got halfway through the first movie and it stopped at the beginning of the 18 hours of driving we had scheduled over Thanksgiving. I'm not going to buy another of these given the average breakdown of every two uses in my experience with this model. We stopped at a bigbox store and bought a Philips that has better sound better picture and got us through the rest of the trip.
Great value! Bought this for a long road trip to entertain the kids. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as quality goes due to the low price but there was nothing to worry about.
Makes my life easier on long car rides I've had this DVD player for four months now and have had no technical difficulties. It is easy to install and remove even in creative places. My toddler is rear facing and the strap on the second DVD screen allowed me to hang it under the mirror I use to see her. The main unit hangs on the back of the driver's headrest as intended and has a remote that is easy enough to use that my 6 year old hasn't had any trouble using it. The cord that connects the main unit to the second one is long enough that it ran along the seat and not where my toddler can grab it I drive a compact car. Both screens have a good picture and great sound. Yes a good picture it's no HDTV but it will do just fine and neither the 18 month old nor the 6 year old seem to have any issue with it. It was a touch hard for my 6 year old to change the disks at first but after doing it a couple times she got the hang of it and now does it like a pro. In fact I place the main unit on the bathroom floor when I shower to keep the little one out of trouble and she's figured out how to open it and change disks too. The six year old complained that they have to watch the same movie but as I pointed out when we had a single screen they had to any way. Plus I wouldn't want little kids with headphones on so they just have to take turns with what they watch. The only thing that I don't like is that there is no battery backup so each time you stop the disk starts over. For the price and quality I'm ok with no battery but it's the one thing that I wish it did.
DIDN'T WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! After researching for a week these were the players we chose for a trip with our toddlers. We took them out of the box and tested them and they only worked for a few minutes before all of a sudden shutting off. We tried to turn them on again and neither player would turn on until we unplugged the second screen and then only the first player would work. When we tried to plug the second player back in it didn't work at all and the first player kept shutting on and off. I can't remember the last time I bought something brand new and it didn't work right out of the box. Maybe ours was just defective but obviously I can't recommend this product to anyone.
Freezes midmovie Purchased this for long trips in the car. All movies freeze midway through playing. Of course we find this out 3 days after our return window closes.
Decent for the price. Had a couple problems with it. Bought this to keep our grandchildren entertained while we traveled to a distant campground. It was easy to install and our 6yearold grandson quickly learned how to operate it. However there were times when there was no sound. If they changed DVD's it was fine and then usually if they went back to the first DVD the sound worked. I wish there was a way to protect the screensmaybe design so they could flip to a covered position. All in all we are generally pleased with the product.
So far so good I bought this for my twin 6 year old daughters to use on a long road trip. So far as long as all of the wires are connected properly everything has been great. Connections/dvd access are easy enough for my daughters to figure out. Hopefully will be working well for many years.
Very nice DVD player for car We bought this for a long trip to Colorado from Kansas City and for future use for trips. We love it! Keeps our daughter occupiedgreat quality for the price! Highly recommend.

It works! After some time researching different head units on my car I ended up choosing the Kenwood DPX308U. Its been installed into a 2004 Subaru forester. The unit fit into the standard double din set up in my car and was within my budget. The entire installation took about 20 minutes.Just make sure if you decide on this unit to pick up a wiring harness for your vehicle. It makes your life and installation a world easier. The unit itself is very easy to use and the instructions are pretty straight forward.
Love it Love how you can change the color to match your dash. I put it in my 04 Infiniti g35 and I couldn't be happier with it.
Great Deal !!! This is a great stereo and it was a great deal. This kenwood stereo is a great fit in my 2003 chevy silverado. It was what I was looking for. I wasn't looking for a dvd player. But I was looking for a double din cd player and I needed a Ipod hookup. this was perfect. Kenwood is one of the best brands out today it puts out awesome sound with the right kenwood stereo speakers and it has tons of options. the remote is very handy keeps me from messing with the bottons and knob on the receiver. So to sum this up This Kenwood Double din cd player is super great and super simple and a great price.
Great Sound The stereo looks great sounds great just was a pain to install in a Suzuki Reno. If anybody has this car I'd advise professional help. You don't just pop the panel off and pull the radio out. You have to go under the glove box then under the drivers side and then pull out the panel around the radio. Then the black frame around the radio i had to saw it down because it was a tight squeeze into the panel and my car came with and was made for a Double Din stereo but this stereo was a tight squeeze. Back to the stereo i'm little upset because there isn't a mute button on the stereo itself i liked it on my last stereo you click the volume thing and it mutes or pauses. It's a little confusing there is a lot of features and button combinations like i have no clue how to change the time. Overall i gave it a 4 star.
Kenwood double din Great Product and it fit perfect in my 1999 Honda Prelude..
Great replacement Receiver After using this new receiver for a couple of months I like it so much I purchased another for our other car. I love the fact that it has a clock in the display most aftermarket head units do not. And best of all you can either let it cycle through the various colors on the display or select a specific one to match the rest of your dash. Oh and it sounds great regardless the source my MP3s on a flash drive my MP3 player or CD. I would recommend this head unit to anyone whose vehicle need a doubleDIN sized unit.
Excellent I recently purchased this stereo to replace the original in my car. My son installed for me and I love it.
Absolutely love it I bought a used 2001 Honda Prelude which already had a single DIN Kenwood head unit. That one was good but I wanted to spring for a doubleDIN to complete the flush look. Went with the DPX308U and couldn't be happier. Very easy to use customize and sounds great. Overall an incredible bang for the buck in quality and looks.
luchie2007 Great!!!! Installed in Acura MDX and is AWESOME! Great sound and options for any input. Cool look also with setting on demo mode! Can't beat it.

HDMI RCA component AV Converter Good Product

HDMI to 5 RCA component AV Converter
HDMI to 5 RCA component AV Converter Read more...

  • HDMI to 5 RCA component AV Converter
  • HDMI to component

  • Seemed to work fine The converter worked fine it seems. I just couldn't get the conversion software Powerstrip to work properly to send a 480i signal without crashing every few minutes. But no fault of the converter. The converter is actually a bit heavier and sturdy built than what I expected for made in China so was quite pleased. Would be good item for someone with a TV that accepts progressive standard though. Mine only works with interlaced as most older TVs.
Good Product I read the reviews and I knew what I was getting. I used it for my apple tv2 and it is a little off center but I deal with it. It is not that big of a deal.
HDMI port broken? No problem! The converter works great with my old Panasonic Viera Plasma TV.I bought the TV used from a friend who was moving away of course I discovered AFTER buying it the HDMI port doesn't work. I planned on using this TV as a computer screen so my options were to use SVIDEO tried it it's not good or get a converter. The TV has two sets of component inputs so after reading up on the whole digitalmustbeconvertedtoanalog dilemma I bought myself this converter.Tips to get it to work. Your obviously looking into this product because you have a High Definition HDMI device. It won't work if you set your resolution too low.
Doesn't work don't bother buying I was afraid it may not work from other reviews but decided to take the chance. I regret I did now because it doesn't work at all. I tried it with multiple different inputs and on 2 different TV's to make sure it wasn't the TV input. Didn't matter how many times I turned it off and on or changed inputs or TV's never did work.Don't waste your time with this product.
Be a Video Expert 1st Unless you're a video expert don't buy it. Read the description. If you don't know all the jargon move on to the next item. Better yet look at the negative reviews audio works but no video. Then ask yourself if you shouldn't just buy a new TV that is HDMI compatible and save yourself the hassle of repackaging this thing and kicking it to the curb.
It does what it's supposed to do I have an older Mitsubishi WS65908 TV that takes input as 480i 480p or 1080i and this device does work without issues with a PS3 as well as a PC. The overall design is fairly nice. The case is solid metal not some cheap plastic. It doesn't appear to get hot/warm during operation. Also as a side bonus this device does a HDCP handshake properly. If you want to watch blurays on a older HDTV that doesn't have native HDMI this device will let you do it. The movie industry requires bluray players only play at HD resolutions if the bluray player is outputting to a HDCP compliant devicethis device lets you play it on any TV/display.One thing to note is that if your display does not like certain resolutions this box will not convert the signal to one that will work. Ergo when connecting a PC I had to specifically override the settings to be from 1080p to 1080i @ 60hz. If this doesn't work for you chances are whatever is generating the video isn't doing it at the exact setting you want. From wrestling with my PS3 some things can be tricky and don't want to set the correct resolution sometime. You might just need to poke the settings for awhile until they work.
Don't bother This does not work as advertised. I hooked it up but there is no real conversion to HDMI. There are 5 outputs from the box to HDMI but the TV only has 3 inputs. Unless there is something I am missing it looks like I will have to buy a High Def TV much to my disappointment.
Good product Good product shipped quickly and as decribed. Just be sure to order the correct unit for YOUR TV. If you have an older TV with COMPOSITE input don't order the HDMI to COMPONENT converter box. Or you may end up ordering two boxes instead of one.
Have an older HDTV? You may need this I recently received a Roku HD as a gift. Although I have a Toshiba HDTV it's not a recent model and it doesn't have a HDMI input. I was stuck watching Netflix streaming in SD. What to do? If you Google this issue the usual answer you'll find is Buy a new TV. Seriously? Drop $500$1000 because of a missing input jack? Fortunately I found this little gadget first. Within ten minutes of unpacking it I was happily watching Netflix in 720p.
little tough to figure out. I am using this with a roughly 8 year old sony wega with no hdmi input. the tv is hd but 720. When plugged in it did not work just very fuzzy. After some research ont he net i found that i had to take the apple tv to my new tv plug it in and change the output setting to 720p from the default 1080. after doing this i hooked it back up and presto works great i am sure that some of the issues with apple tv 9and subsequent returns could be avoided if there was some instructions with the product!!!!Shipper was fast and delivered on time as promised but the product itself is a little frustrating.

  • GarryR3148 My 21 year old son helped me select this radio for my F350 diesel knowing how much I love the iPhone. The start up is a little slow but not a problem for me and the reason I purchased this unit was to have a hands free phone unit a charger GPS radio and iPod music. Pioneer has updated the software for the iPhone and the radio unit since I purchased it a couple of months ago and it is now a wonderful radio and meets my expectations. The hands free phone is clear both talking and listening and the sound through the speakers is easy to hear. It can be setup for auto answer or just touch the icon and it will answer the radio mutes and the caller ID displays number and name of the contact if they are in your phone. The radio also displays recent calls missed calls dialed calls and you can even play your voice mail through the radio.
So glitchy it is dangerous. I almost never review anything but this product is so incredibly glitchy and inconsistent in its behavior that it is dangerous to have in the car because it is a nonstop distraction. Every single application has some kind of serious glitch or behavior inconsistency that will have you constantly fiddling with the phone or suffering with the thing not working. Furthermore every time Pioneer updates the software they manage to introduce new bugs without really killing off the old ones. Before I give a few examples I'll note that the two third party AppRadio compatible applications I use are the MotionX GPS navigation program and Pandora.
Biggest Waste of $450 I've had this radio for over a month and I hate it. I plan to rip it out of my car this weekend and toss it. Yes it looks nice but it's crap. Here are the issuesInstallation is a huge pain it had it professional installed which usually only takes an hour to do. This one took seven hours.Only works when you plug your phone into the cord unless you want to listen to regular radio and use no apps. Also the main screen will occasionally lock up on the start screen and nothing can be accessed. The switch to allow you to use the radio i.e. simply change the radio station while you're driving often doesn't work unless you stop and put the car in park. I installed a rely switch that I can flip to bypass the sensor but sometimes it doesn't work either. If the switch does manage to work you first have to unlock your phone open the app on your phone then open it on the radio in order to change the station. You have to do this even if the car is in park.If your phone doesn't have service you have no radio. If the service isn't three bars are higher the apps will constantly stop workingThree times in the past two weeks the radio has froze on the backup camera screen. Let's be clear I'm not talking about the image freezing while I'm backing up. I mean the car is in drive and the back up camera won't turn off which means you can't use the radio or any apps. The only way I've been able to fix it is to unwire the camera and wire it again. If you have an iphone and you want to use a different smartphone you can't unless you switch out the plug. This becomes a huge pain if your sig other borrows the car for a day.
The more I use it the more I love it I do not understand why this radio has some bad reviews but I wanted to write my own experience out just in case someone has doubts about this particular model radio. I bought mine a few weeks ago and to be honest was not quite impressed with it at first.
A day in the life of an App Radio user Every day that I have to drive somewhere I feel pangs of disappointment about my Pioneer AppRadio. What could have been a really killer app is just a source of frustration. On paper AppRadio has all the promise of the Ford Sync indash bluetooth system. In practice it falls short in every possible way. Here's a a walk through of what endure every time you turn the ignition1. Get in your car and connect the smartphone an iPhone in my case to rigid cable coming out of the radio. Wait 30 seconds for the selfserving animation on the screen to play through. As owners of the AppRadio we are subjected to Pioneer's AppRadio advertisement every time we turn the key.2. The first of four warnings pops up with a caution telling you how bad an idea it would be to actually to use your App Radio while you're driving. Press buttons and eventually the first of three warning dialogue goes away.3. A second prompt comes up asking you to unlock your iPhone and reconnect it when it's safe and lawful to do so4. After unlocking and reconnecting a third prompt comes up explaining that viewing of front seat video source while driving is prohibited. What does that mean? Are they afraid you're going to view a video podcast? I hadn't thought to try it but the prompt made me realize that there must be a way to watch video while driving. It goes on to tell you that you need to apply your parking break release it apply it again and press OK. This gets you nowhere literally. Even after going through these machinations the App Radio still doesn't give you access to the Apps During all this it's blocking you from even listening to the radio.04.
Just what I expected If you have trouble working a radio with knobs and a dial dont get this radio and complain about it. It does what it's supposed to do but it can be frustrating to someone who can't work it.
good idea gone wrong I had this radio was a good idea but it has a lot of problems. First problem I had was the radio would completely lock up if i was on the phone when before the bluetooth would conect. I would have to restset the radio all the time to get it to work again. Then there are not alot of useful apps that work with this radio. The Gps the outdated with lots of location missing. The sound is bad compaired to what you get with another unit of the some price range. All in all it just a bad raido save your money.
crAppRadio comes with crappy service too. I purchased this radio in late August of 2011. Now it is late April so 8 months ago. I knew that the radio was a new thing and had a lot of glitches but being a diehard iPhone fan I sprung for it. I dealt with the glitches the freezing and the poor interface very well. Unfortunately however the cord that connects the iPhone to the unit went bad. It was a gradual thing first the AppRadio display would be pink and green because the iPhone connection was faulty. Soon I would need to attempt to connect and reconnect the phone over and over before the radio would see it.
An adventure through inconvenience and poor quality! My goodness where do I begin? My experience with the Pioneer AppRadio is very bittersweet and not the best story I'm afraid.I purchased my unit from Best Buy brand new and factoryfresh and it was professionally installed in my sports car. I purchased an extra dedicated iPhone 4 just for use with this AppRadio and I had a really professionalquality mount installed into the dashboard for a more permanent installation of the iPhone 4 which would be completely dedicated to running this new AppRadio.Needless to say I was very excited. I will say that the installation team at Best Buy in Little Rock were extremely knowledgeable and very professional and friendly and took the extra measure to do a really nice installation.Only two weeks into having the AppRadio the screen went completely dead. Black zilch nothing. Of course I was heartbroken and quite upset about it. I called Pioneer technical support and they were rather lackluster in assisting me and were really of no help. Luckily the installation at Best Buy carries a lifetime warranty for as long as I own the stereo and this vehicle so I went back. Surely I figured something simple like a blown fuse or perhaps a loose wire would be the culprit. No big deal!Well I was sorely mistaken. They took the unit out and set it up on their workbench and it would not power on no matter what they did. The unit was completely and utterly dead. Unfortunately there were no more AppRadios in stock in any of the stores I purchased one of the last they had since Pioneer was releasing the new AppRadio 2 which was both iOS and Android compatible. So they could not just give me another one.I was told that I would have to send my unit into Pioneer for repair and they would either repair it or send me a REFURBISHED UNIT which really upset me but after thinking about it as long as it WORKS and still carries the full warranty then I don't care. But now the story is just starting to get interesting.I became rather acquainted with the staff at Best Buy because of my constant shopping there I am a computer engineer and I am always in there for SOME thing or other and I was taken aside and told in confidence that just about every single Pioneer AppRadio that they had sold had all been returned with the same fate. There is an inherent design or quality flaw in the production of these units and they ALWAYS die very quickly. They had taken so many back in it was ridiculous! WHAT?? How could Pioneer let such a horrible product out on the market? I suppose they figure it was too late and they would just fix them as they go.. VERY bad business practice!I was utterly angry at this point. I only had this unit for TWO WEEKS.
Great idea horrible execution The Pioneer App Radio looked like the ideal system for my new truck it's sleek sexy. If you're willing to cough up another $250 you can add a backup camera that automatically kicks in when the vehicle is in reverse a feature I love on my Toyota Prius as well as the ability to keep an eye on your trailer while driving ideal for a truck. Add to that a seamless integration with my iPhone 4 and seemed like a dream come true.Except that it doesn't work very well. At all.As many other reviewers have pointed out even after the latest firmware upgrade the unit frequently locks up and won't respond to anything short of actually turning your car off and restarting it. Just by itself this is completely unforgivable. There's also this the AppRadio App itself feels like a trap to get you to install several applications that Pioneer has partnered with and most of these apps cost money AND require paid subscriptions. Most iPhone owners I know already have popular apps that fill these functions and many of them are free.

    • The IVA-D106 is steering wheel remote ready
    • The IVA-D106 is IMPRINT ready - Just add an IMPRINT PXA-H100 audio processor for automatic sound tuning or powerful manual tuning options.

    • Nice at first but lacks polish When I first installed my IVAD106 I loved it. Decent looking user interface good sound neat features. Now that I've had it for a year it has some warts* Buttons are very small and require precision to push. You have to push right in the middle of a tiny button to make it work which isn't a great feature for something you'll interact with while driving.* Most setup options require you to put in the secret footshake of pressing the parking brake and foot brake to get to the setup menu. This includes things as simple as changing the clock or the color of the background graphics.* The CD player in mine has stopped working. It's been one year and it won't read an MP3 DVD at all always saying Disc error. I've tried some cleaning CDs but it refuses to play them with the same error message. That being said it still sounds great. But if I had it all to do over again I would buy a different unit.
Alpine is awesome but. I love Alpine units thats all i ever liked. that being said this unit is awesome it was awesome when i installed it over a year ago but now that the warranty is up and its over a year old the dvd player freezes and stops all the time will not play any dvds new or used and just keeps freezeing i called the Alpine tech help and they said the laser eye is probably failing and if just send them my unit in a box with a written note in with it they would fix it for $110.00 well already paying over 600 for it you would think it would last more an a few years all my other Alpine units did i had one last over 10 years and sold it to a friend when i got this one and its still going strong in his truck different unit but still working and its over 12 years old. so that being said i am leary of just sending a 600 dollar unit off to some tech place and hope thy get it and fix it right and not charge more then they said well i think they should fix it free if they know of the laser failing in them.
Excellent I'm very pleased with this unit I bought this unit to replace a little older Alpine unit IVAD310 that time was beginning to pass by in that it did not allow for Bluetooth and iPod integration. I've been using my new IVAD106 for a couple of weeks now and I like it a lot.

    • Ok DVD player has issues I tried to like this DVD player but had to send it back. Picture quality was good but overall build quality was poor. It was supposed to be able to mount vertically but I had to tap the top of the player after pushing the eject button to get a disk to release. When my kids tried to use it and eject a disk it didn't they thought it was empty so they inserted a 2nd disk jamming the unit scratching both DVD's. a 2nd issue was the plastic decorative piece on the left side was not glued properly and kept falling off. Amazon had very good return polices so we got a full refund and purchased a different brand.
Better cost performance I bought this to see DVD in my car with back mirror monitor.I setup with my own it was little difficult. I dont know why this need continuous power line. What I wanted for my car DVD player is Last position memory most important I dont wanna see same DVD from start over and over! Anti shock its plaeyed in car! USB SD card for instant video play from camera universal install I dont have extra DIN ciger outlet easy install didnt used it this time though A/V input for instant play from camera under 100 bucksand apparently this was the only product to meet above. These are working as I expected. Here's the critical review.1. Sound is very small at first. It is set to 9/15. You have to turn to max 15/15 everytime you turn engine on. Other wise if you volume up by radio AUX for proper volume and change to another source you will break your ear!2. Sometimes there is a timing that remote control will not response. In that time we have to hear by small volume.3. I installed it to under dash board where passenger is easy to kick. Its easy to drop off the front panel.Other than that its working good so far for this half year. Its not best but its under 100 bucks.I have 2 cars and for the reason 1 above I bought another one to be better.
Plays OK but remote stinks Has good picture output but needs a preamp for audio out. Remembers where you left off even if power was removed. Remote really stinks! Have to keep pressing to get it to work. Don't have a full opinion of it yet since I've been stuggling with getting a proper PreAmp to boost the audio. Maybe it's just my crappy ROSEN video system that came with the 2001 Chevy Express Van. The aux inputs to it seem to require audio boost. I guess the VCP that I removed had high audio output while maybe any DVD player needs audio boost when adapting it to something that's 10 years old I don't know.
Excellent Un producto de excelente para disfrutar en el vehiculo agradable sonido video 100% recomendable.Facil de instalar y facil de usarojramirez31@gmail.
Boss DVD player Product does as it is described. It would have been much easier to just buy the monitor with the built in dvd player. After center console mods power and ground wiring and rca wire running. It was quite a task spending the extra 60 to 100 dollars for the built in player would have been way worth it. But the player itself works fine. I also would like to say to make sure you check the type of monitor you buy because the 2 I bought and installed have very poor viewable angles. If you are not sitting directly behind the monitor it is very dark for the person sitting on the side seats.
Could be a great DVD player but I bought this DVD player so that I could finally retain memory & not have to skip back to the scene that was on before we turned off the car. For that it worked perfect however there are two other issues that forced me to return the DVD player. The biggest being poor video quality & scroll lines that I could not get to go away. I am an advanced installer and I know there were no install issues which can commonly cause problems like this through a bad ground. No matter what I did the scroll lines remained. Another issue we had was intermittent times where the unit would not respond to the remote control. We could have lived with that issue but the display issues were too bad to live with so I had to return this product. If you're not concerned with video quality or scroll lines this might be a good DVD player for you otherwise I would recommend buying something else.

GREAT DEAL I BOUGHT THE PYLE PLDN7OU 7INCH TOUCH SCREEN RECIEVER FOR MY SON. THE INSTALLATION WAS EASY WE ONLY HAD TO MAKE ONE MINOR ADJUSTMENT IN ORDER FOR THE RECIEVER TO FIT. WHEN IT WAS TURNED ON THE SOUND WAS OF GREAT QUALITY. I REALLY LIKE THE IDEAL OF THE TILT SCREEN. MY SON HAS SINCE BUILT A BOX AND ADDED A BASS SPEAKER AND AN AMP TO THE SYSTEM. THE SOUND IS GREAT. MY WIFE AND I ARE VERY SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING TO BUY THE SAME RECIEVER TO INSTALL IN OUR VEHICLE. FOR THE PRICE OF THE PYLE PLDN7OU 7INCH SCREEN RECIEVER I BELIEVE IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD SOUND FOR YOUR VEHICLE.
Wonderful Great Value Let me start out by saying that I had never installed a car radio before this one. However I was able to successfully install this in my GM car even though it is not 'officially supported'.If your car is not officially supported be ready to possibly trim your dash or bezel with some type of high quality precision tool. I did that trimmed the dash cover with a pair of plier cutters. The radio was able to then fit perfectly in my car after of course connecting the wires to a radio harness plug especially made for the make and model of my car and also custom cutting the radio holding brackets. As another reviewer mentioned there is a safety mechanism which prevents the DVD player to work while the brown parking brake wire is not grounded. Use this information to hack out this feature at your own risk to allow DVD's to be played even while driving. For those of you wondering what video format the player reads on the SD card it expects a *.mpeg filename encoded with the mpeg2video codec this is the same codec used in DVDs.
      very nice
Ok for the price. This is a great deck for the price. So far its still working and doing fine. Thanks for the deal.
      i got screwed big time
Pleased with the Pyle PLDN70U 7Inch My second DVD touchscreen receiver to install this year. The Pyle PLDN70U unit works as described. The screen is difficult to view with the sun to your back. The motorized screen seems strong and assures confidence. Limited audio adjustment. If you intend to drive a subwoofer and four interior speakers this may not be the best choice. Read the owners manual before purchasing to make sure you able to configure the outputs to your design requirements. Best deal out there for less than $200.
Great for the price My girlfriend brought this for me as a gift and Ive fallen in love with it. Installation was simple I just had to adjust it a few times to get it into my factory position. Once started up it was great ok screen compared to those crappy ones ive seen on ebay ie eonon. DVD's look amazing on this thing I have it set so I dont need the emergency brake engaged to watch movies and found myself looking down a few times to admire the screen. The build quality seems fine and works nicely when putting in and ejecting a cd. It will take you a little while to configure it to get the sound just right. Im running 2 door speakers 2 back panel speakers 2 factory dash mounted tweeters and one sub and it sounds really nice. Wish is had settings to control the bass of the sub but for the price I cant really complain. It has 50 million ports to run tv's connect your ipod/phone or any other music device. Only thing that was bad is the usb port in the back needs to be capped or taped off because if it touches metal it will spark and possibly short something out. I highly recommend this if you want a cheap but nice dvd receiver.
Great unit for the money I have now had this installed in my xB for about 3 weeks now. Installation was easy and straight forward. Like other posts you may have to alter the dash piece a little in order for this to fit in correctly and that is what I had to do. I just used a dremel with a sanding bit to sand down the dash piece a little so that it would fit.Deck works great and sounds great. I went from a Pioneer AVIC D2 to this unit and of course I did lose some features but at the same time I did gain some as well.Blue tooth works awesome. I love having the ability to stream music from my phone to the head unit micro sd cards are much cheaper than a ipod so that works awesome. I haven't gotten any complaints about the call quality so I assume the phone portion of it works great. Blue tooth automatically connects to my phone as soon as I enter the car.USB flash drive works flawlessly as well. There are some minor issues here that more or less bug me but overall it works great. For example what bugs me is that you are unable to set the usb to shuffle songs that are on the flash drive. Usb is great though since usb drives are so cheap now you can get a 4gb and fill it with music and you have songs for days to listen to. Navigating folders and songs works but is limited. What I mean here is that this deck does not list the folders alphabetically. When you have a lot of folders you have to scroll through all of them until you find the folder you are looking for rather then being able to do it by name. Lastly the only issue I have encountered here is that if you have pictures on your flash drive and you select one of them by accident it's kind of a pain to get back to the folder structure to play music 'cause once the picture appears it begins playing all the pictures on your flash drive like a slideshow. If the ebrake bypass isn't in then you essentially just get a blue screen until you engage the ebrake. All in all outside these little quirks that I have encountered the usb port works awesome.
IT'S A GOOD DVD PLAYER FOR THE PRICE
