Great product but low sound The product is great for my 3 year old. The picture is great but the sound is low and I wish it played different movies on the two screens for when her stepbrother joins us for the summer and holidays.
Very good product
Works Good Put a large SD card in there and was able to fit a lot of media for the kids to watch on vacations. Takes a little effort to hook the screens up on the head rests but once things are in place it works well. I'm pretty happy with the value since it comes with two screens.
Great Deal.. This item was purchased for an upcoming Disney World trip even though we have not tested it on the road we did manage to hook everything up and give it a trial run and we have been pleased so far with the picture quality and all the accessories that come with this dvd player. A good choice..
Reliability issue I bought this product in Dec 2011. Within 4 monthwarranty 90days only The screen went fuzzy. Sylvania will do nothing for you. However Amazon awesome service ship me a new one with no problem. Let see how long this unit will last. Reading online lots of people have this issue too.
Was a life saver for our first car trip! We took our first road trip from MN to CO with a 1 1/2 and a 3 1/2 year old. My husband loaded up the SD card with several kid videos and home movies. The kids loved it and our trip was great! We only had to change the CD once or twice since there was so much loaded up on the SD card. The remote control was really convenient as well although sometimes we had to push the button several times to get it to work from the front seat pointing it back over our heads. I think it probably is designed for the kids to work it. We rated it 4 out of 5 since it was great for the price we paid and not being a high end one.
AWESOME CONCEPT Poor quality Purchased for a recent trip to FL. Worked great on the way down kids even asked why we bothered with dvds since the SD card worked so well. Easy for them to pick and choose their content with ease. Used a little wallet to hold sd cards and they were set.Until it failed. Only used for less than 15 hours and then the main screen failed. Not too much longer and the remote screen then became too dark to use.Really too bad. The card was great price was good and let me get rid of a bunch of space wasting and easily damaged dvds.
Great Entertainment at a Great Price Nice video on both screens although the volume on the 2nd monitor is lower than I would like. The best way to use these is to store your movies on an SD Card get at least a Class 6 SD Card. The documentation is very limited and I could not find a list of supported formats but AVI works for me.
Second screen didn't work at all I bought this product because of the convenience price and decent reviews. I did not have a chance to use the second monitor until a month later 3 days after the return policy. Upon reading the instructions and attaching the AV/DC cables to the main device and secondary display nothing worked. And of course the return policy expired 2 days ago. So if you are purchasing this don't wait like I did. Check out the functionality as soon as you get it. Learn from my cautionary tale. Now I'm stuck with an over priced single DVD player that has soso quality.
excellent buy This was a last minute buy for a road trip after our old Dual DVD Player stopped working It's excellent!Don't be fooled by the ones that can play two different DVDs unless your kids are old enough for headphones it won't work out!The only two things I have to criticize is that it needs better straps to hold it to the headrest.

DVD Players Another Christmas Gift. The grandkids really enjoyed getting these DVD players and they use them all the time. They carry them around with them constantly.

disappointing The most disappointing aspect of this player is the lack of battery life. It won't even hold charge for a full length movie nor will it play while charging. This alone makes it pretty worthless. The volume is also super low and the resolution pretty grainy.
Sylvania DVD player So far I really have been happy with this DVD player. Good quality for the money. Only problem I have had is that the battery doesn't last quit as long as it said it would. But it hasn't been a problem. I would recommend this DVD player to my family and friends.
Perfect for toddlers! Great little DVD player for the car! I love the fact that the screen swivels and you can fold it over backward to cover up the buttons so little fingers can't push them! The sound can be a little soft with all of the road noise while you are driving but you can also connect this to your car's auxiliary jack so it plays through your car speakers.
Disappointed I ordered this dvd player going by the majority of reviews that were good reviews. I just got it on Wednesday and it is defective. I tried at least 5 different DVDs and all were store bought NONE of them worked. I was very disappointed because I was excited to get it for my daughter and thenas soon as i get it it doesn't even work. I contemplating on if I should get exchange for another one or just try looking for another one. I looked at other ones but they all were just like this one had majority good reviews but then a couple of bad. I just figured I'm going to take a risk and exchange this one. If the second one doesn't work I'm just going to get my money back and look else where but let me tell you this gave me a huge headache yesterday!!!!!! So i'll be doing another review once I receive the other one.
Love the color! The DVD player was just what I wanted and since purple is my favorite color I absolutely love it. Delivery was prompt. I use it almost daily at work for an exercise video. No problems whatsoever.
Works Well For Us We bought this DVD player for our 2 1/2 year old for our long car rides to my parents' house. After reading other reviews I was a little hesitant but I gave it a try for the price and swivel/flip function. I love that it can be flipped around and folded so it's similar to a tablet and all of the buttons are covered from our toddler's curious fingers! In anticipation of the carrying case being low quality according to other reviews I also purchased the Car Headrest Mount for Swivel & Flip Style Portable DVD Player which was a good call! The DVD player itself worked very well. I was happy with the picture and sound. I'm not sure what issue other people are having with the sound because I could hear my son's movie over the sounds of the car with the A/C on and radio playing quietly. When he's used it in the house I've actually gone and turned the volume down so that it's not quite so loud. I have to agree with other reviewers complaints about the carrying case. It's pretty terrible and doesn't hold the dvd player in very well with the oddly placed elastic straps. The material is very lightweight and flimsy similar to the fabric some reusable shopping bags are made of. The only use I can really see for it is putting the extra cords and Dvd player in for storage between trips. I absolutely wouldn't trust it to hold the DVD player up on a head rest like it claims. We mounted the DVD on the headrest in the car using the car headrest mount mentioned above available separately on Amazon. I was able to pause stop and play the movie using the little remote from the front seat of the car dvd player behind my head. One downside is that the car adapter cord is really short and was not long enough to reach the dvd player mounted on the headrest. As a solution he would watch one movie I would take it and plug it in for a while then put it back for another movie for fear that the battery would die if I didn't. One thing I find myself missing is the ability to turn off the player and turn it back on and pick up the movie where it left off though with our toddler it didn't really matter since he was happy to just watch it here and there. At this point I haven't had the occasion to try the USB or SD card reader and don't know that I ever will. We're fine just using DVD's.
Hard to hear car bag not good The picture on this player is pretty good but the volume does not go high enough for use on the highway. It can be very hard to hear even with it all of the way up. Also the car mounting bag is cheaply made and often doesn't hold the player very well.
Good Little Player I bought this for my 15 month old daughter to watch on long car trips and she loves it. The fact that it can swivel and lay flat like a tablet is a plus because my daughter is not as tempted to constantly press button during her shows. I also recommend converting movies to AVI files and using an SD card. That way you don't have to tote around DVDs and it's actually a better quality of picture.The bag is very cheap but it does work. The sound is fine for up close viewing but we use headphones a lot. I would buy this product again.
