Really good I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas.
Nice addition to my car. I am very happy with this radio. I did notice a little less fm reception but not enough to worry about. I was able to install it myself without issues and put in the back up camera as well. Nice price that allows you to do the upgrades you want when you want them later on and still have quality of use.
Great unit for the price Sound video and functions are all above expectation for the price. I bought mine from Cartoys and had it installed the same day. They forgot to include the remote though. I went back and got a remote but it does not work on this unit. Has anyone had any issues trying to use the remote? I see that my box did not originally include it but all the others do. Oh well. It's a great buy. I have a 12 inch RF sub hooked up to it with a 500W amp pushing it in a 04 PT cruiser turbo. The sound from the deck makes me forget how loud my exhaust is..lol..
Not baddd at all. I was a little scared of buying a Jensen stereo but I read some reviews on this stereo did my research so I risked it and bought it.

Ok DVD player has issues I tried to like this DVD player but had to send it back. Picture quality was good but overall build quality was poor. It was supposed to be able to mount vertically but I had to tap the top of the player after pushing the eject button to get a disk to release. When my kids tried to use it and eject a disk it didn't they thought it was empty so they inserted a 2nd disk jamming the unit scratching both DVD's. a 2nd issue was the plastic decorative piece on the left side was not glued properly and kept falling off. Amazon had very good return polices so we got a full refund and purchased a different brand.
Better cost performance I bought this to see DVD in my car with back mirror monitor.I setup with my own it was little difficult. I dont know why this need continuous power line.What I wanted for my car DVD player is Last position memory most important I dont wanna see same DVD from start over and over! Anti shock its plaeyed in car! USB SD card for instant video play from camera universal install I dont have extra DIN ciger outlet easy install didnt used it this time though A/V input for instant play from camera under 100 bucksand apparently this was the only product to meet above.These are working as I expected.Here's the critical review.1. Sound is very small at first. It is set to 9/15. You have to turn to max 15/15 everytime you turn engine on. Other wise if you volume up by radio AUX for proper volume and change to another source you will break your ear!2. Sometimes there is a timing that remote control will not response. In that time we have to hear by small volume.3. I installed it to under dash board where passenger is easy to kick. Its easy to drop off the front panel.Other than that its working good so far for this half year.Its not best but its under 100 bucks.I have 2 cars and for the reason 1 above I bought another one to be better.
Plays OK but remote stinks Has good picture output but needs a preamp for audio out. Remembers where you left off even if power was removed. Remote really stinks! Have to keep pressing to get it to work. Don't have a full opinion of it yet since I've been stuggling with getting a proper PreAmp to boost the audio. Maybe it's just my crappy ROSEN video system that came with the 2001 Chevy Express Van. The aux inputs to it seem to require audio boost. I guess the VCP that I removed had high audio output while maybe any DVD player needs audio boost when adapting it to something that's 10 years old I don't know.

Boss DVD player Product does as it is described. It would have been much easier to just buy the monitor with the built in dvd player. After center console mods power and ground wiring and rca wire running. It was quite a task spending the extra 60 to 100 dollars for the built in player would have been way worth it. But the player itself works fine. I also would like to say to make sure you check the type of monitor you buy because the 2 I bought and installed have very poor viewable angles. If you are not sitting directly behind the monitor it is very dark for the person sitting on the side seats.
Could be a great DVD player but I bought this DVD player so that I could finally retain memory & not have to skip back to the scene that was on before we turned off the car. For that it worked perfect however there are two other issues that forced me to return the DVD player. The biggest being poor video quality & scroll lines that I could not get to go away. I am an advanced installer and I know there were no install issues which can commonly cause problems like this through a bad ground. No matter what I did the scroll lines remained. Another issue we had was intermittent times where the unit would not respond to the remote control. We could have lived with that issue but the display issues were too bad to live with so I had to return this product. If you're not concerned with video quality or scroll lines this might be a good DVD player for you otherwise I would recommend buying something else.

LOVE this product I orderd this so my 3 year old can watch movies in the car. It fit my CRV perfectly! I was a little nervous to order this because of other reviews but I am so glad I ordered it! His 10 swivel dvd player fits perfectly in the mount as well. It holds it in place great.
This is not a Universal holder. We tried 2 of our DVD Players with it and the ball that swivels the screen around could not hold the weight and they just leaned downward. I am very displeased with this product. TRhe seller was great and speedy in delivery but this particular product I would not waste your money.
Only as strong as your weakest link purchased this item for my iluv dvd player in the car. Fit exactly what I wanted but after the first week the hooks on the back end just broke off. We had it above my daughter's car seat for the long trips we take and when the hooks broke off it fell directly on her. very disappointed in the making of the parts. would be a good concept if it did not break at the most needed part and fall on your child. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Cheap not worth money I've purchased two of these and both of them have had the cheap plastic ends that hook on the headrest break. the first time my 10 month old son grabbed the dvd player so I figured it was our fault. I didn't return it I just bought another. While installing the next one the same thing happened. It's just made really cheap and doesn't work well. I would not buy this product if you're considering it.
DB Tech Universal Car Headrest mount Just done 5 min ago installing these brackets into a 2009 Honda Odyssey. They are holding dual 7 inch Coby DVD players. They look 200 times better than the black velcro strapes that came with the dvd players. NO COMPARSION TO THE UGLY VELCRO STRAPES!!!!!!!!!Time will tell if they can stand up to my 3 and 18 month old though. Wouldnt have minded if they sat higher on the headrest but for now they look really good.
Broke on 1st Attempt Purchased this to hold a DELL Inspiron Duo. The head rest clamp BROKE on one side when I closed it to secure it. The plastic clamp is poorly made and did not fasten. Lucky for me I bought 2x because things like this happen to me all the time. When I secured the second unit a bit more carefully this time The Dell was TOO heavy and the result was a computer/tablet that bounced up and down when I hit every bump on the road. Instead it now holds a Nook Tablet but the top and bottom fasteners are too BIG to secure properly.
Nice product Bought this player after our other one gave out. So far this seems to be a very sturdy player.The only thing i didn't like about it was the fact that it didn't let you know that it's not a dual monitor you can only watch one movie at a time on both monitors. The cases are nice to hook on the back of a headrest that moves up and down but if you have a head rest that is all one piece with your seat you can't really hang them on securely. Also would be nice if the volume was a little louder they seem pretty quiet. Also i like that fact that the top flips up to put a movie in and not down. It eliminates the possibility of a child hanging on it to get a movie in. But all in all seems to be working great so far and hope it last a long time.
good fuel storage Reasonable for home use. Use the metal units for camping and this see thru for home cooking as I'm afraid that transporting it might result in unwanted puncture of the containment vessel.
AWESOME I bought this because I liked that I could mount my Sony Tablet S and swivel the screen in different directions. The installation is a challenge and this mount does not fit for every vehicle Since it's universal you'll need to be sure that the mount will fit well. overall this product is pretty selfexplanatory and I expect that it will last for a very long time. I have been very happy with this purchase so far.
just inexpensive enough to escape major criticism Fairly cheaply made not quite flimsy but not satisfyingly tough either. We used ours on a smallish 7 Cruz Reader and I can't imagine hanging anything bigger from it. We have small children which means the adult in the front passenger seat has to dial up a movie then fiddle with the mount to hang it not very ideal. Two hours into the journey we gave up on this and put the Cruz in the kid's lap.This was our choice and I suppose we'll keep the mount although we may end up not using it again. The biggest problem with any mount that is not integrated is that it gets in the way. I'm tempted to give 2 stars but it didn't break and it didn't fall off.

Wonderful Great Value Let me start out by saying that I had never installed a car radio before this one. However I was able to successfully install this in my GM car even though it is not 'officially supported'.If your car is not officially supported be ready to possibly trim your dash or bezel with some type of high quality precision tool. I did that trimmed the dash cover with a pair of plier cutters. The radio was able to then fit perfectly in my car after of course connecting the wires to a radio harness plug especially made for the make and model of my car and also custom cutting the radio holding brackets.As another reviewer mentioned there is a safety mechanism which prevents the DVD player to work while the brown parking brake wire is not grounded. Use this information to hack out this feature at your own risk to allow DVD's to be played even while driving.For those of you wondering what video format the player reads on the SD card it expects a *.mpeg filename encoded with the mpeg2video codec this is the same codec used in DVDs.

i got screwed big time
Pleased with the Pyle PLDN70U 7Inch My second DVD touchscreen receiver to install this year. The Pyle PLDN70U unit works as described. The screen is difficult to view with the sun to your back. The motorized screen seems strong and assures confidence. Limited audio adjustment. If you intend to drive a subwoofer and four interior speakers this may not be the best choice. Read the owners manual before purchasing to make sure you able to configure the outputs to your design requirements. Best deal out there for less than $200.
Great for the price My girlfriend brought this for me as a gift and Ive fallen in love with it. Installation was simple I just had to adjust it a few times to get it into my factory position. Once started up it was great ok screen compared to those crappy ones ive seen on ebay ie eonon. DVD's look amazing on this thing I have it set so I dont need the emergency brake engaged to watch movies and found myself looking down a few times to admire the screen. The build quality seems fine and works nicely when putting in and ejecting a cd. It will take you a little while to configure it to get the sound just right. Im running 2 door speakers 2 back panel speakers 2 factory dash mounted tweeters and one sub and it sounds really nice. Wish is had settings to control the bass of the sub but for the price I cant really complain. It has 50 million ports to run tv's connect your ipod/phone or any other music device. Only thing that was bad is the usb port in the back needs to be capped or taped off because if it touches metal it will spark and possibly short something out. I highly recommend this if you want a cheap but nice dvd receiver.
Great unit for the money I have now had this installed in my xB for about 3 weeks now. Installation was easy and straight forward. Like other posts you may have to alter the dash piece a little in order for this to fit in correctly and that is what I had to do. I just used a dremel with a sanding bit to sand down the dash piece a little so that it would fit.Deck works great and sounds great. I went from a Pioneer AVIC D2 to this unit and of course I did lose some features but at the same time I did gain some as well.Blue tooth works awesome. I love having the ability to stream music from my phone to the head unit micro sd cards are much cheaper than a ipod so that works awesome. I haven't gotten any complaints about the call quality so I assume the phone portion of it works great. Blue tooth automatically connects to my phone as soon as I enter the car.USB flash drive works flawlessly as well. There are some minor issues here that more or less bug me but overall it works great. For example what bugs me is that you are unable to set the usb to shuffle songs that are on the flash drive. Usb is great though since usb drives are so cheap now you can get a 4gb and fill it with music and you have songs for days to listen to. Navigating folders and songs works but is limited. What I mean here is that this deck does not list the folders alphabetically. When you have a lot of folders you have to scroll through all of them until you find the folder you are looking for rather then being able to do it by name. Lastly the only issue I have encountered here is that if you have pictures on your flash drive and you select one of them by accident it's kind of a pain to get back to the folder structure to play music 'cause once the picture appears it begins playing all the pictures on your flash drive like a slideshow. If the ebrake bypass isn't in then you essentially just get a blue screen until you engage the ebrake. All in all outside these little quirks that I have encountered the usb port works awesome.

Great for the price. You get what you pay for though For a 7 dvd screen with iPod and USB support you can't beat the price. I noticed the price recently went up to $168. I bought it for $144. This unit is a generic Chinese product that Boss Lanzar ProSound and Pyramid Gold stamp their name on. The manual is in Chinglish and isn't very helpful. Some of the onscreen menus are like that also. Please to stopping car for video watch.It's cheap but the screen looks nice. The menu shows Bluetooth but there is no Bluetooth. The menu itself isn't very nav friendly. If you're watching a video or listening to Ipod/USB you have to go into the radio source to play with EQ or loudness settings. If you're listening to the radio and want to dim the screen you have to go into the video source. The screen is still bright at night time. There's no screen saver or dimmer like better systems have. Like I said you get what you pay for. I put it in my 95 BMW M3 which was already modified for another stereo. Went with this single din because double din was too big. I mainly use the USB with thumbdrive MP3's.When I was looking at this unit I couldn't find any pictures of the menus. It's difficult to navigate and nothing can really be changed as far as graphics. Most everything is controlled by the remote also unless you navigate to a setup screen which while driving isn't going to end pretty.Great price for a basic video system.
Not a good buy I got this for my finacee for Christmas and had it installed. First the DVD/CD stopped working and the SD slot did not work. The interface is not all that great either.
IT DOES NOT WORK i bought this radio for my husband around christmas time. last month he took it to best buy to have it installed. he waited so long because he wanted the radio to go in his mustang convertible and it just got warm enough to drive the car in chicago. Best buy installed the radio and it worked for 2 DAYS. since then it just turns on and off constantly. piece of junk.

boss this product is sold at a great price for the features however the features do not work. Though the company replace it it still did not work. first one the sharp and bass did not work.
radio volume increasing by itself I don't know why but I have a system connected to my 00 accord sedan and the radio volume on the boss bv8966b increases by itself more and more and more after the bass is hitting i checked my wiring it looks good on how its connected but this is very annoying I cant listen to my music in a steady volume and on the aux source it shows where you can fix the treble sound the bass and volume and balancing the sound sides and fading it but then in a few seconds it goes onto a blue screen and says no video signal. so I'm trying to find out what is the problem to this specially mainly the volume increasing by it's self.
junk Unit failed to operate properly open mechanism was weak and eventually stopped working along with touchscreen. Cd is now stuck in unit and limited to controls using remote. Tried to reset unit by pushing reset button and disconnecting power source still inoperative. Also does not fit vehicle perfectly as would be expected. When I find a replacement it will be thrown in the burn pile where it probably should have been put in the first place. Stop selling US QC'd Junk.

Nice Unit too bad BOSS won't stand behind there product.. I Bought and installed the unit in Oct 2010 everything worked fine. Now 15 months later the screen is no longer working.Just a white screen. Called BOSS it's out of warranty and they want $110 to repair. $110 repair for a $169 unit? There customer service didn't offer a solution other than that.I dont really like to post negative reviews but it looks like BOSS just earned one.
Not that great I used for 3 months and then sold it. It was good for watching movies and that was about it. Picture quality was awsome. Sound quality was poor to moderate. Was not very touch responsive and the USB port did not work. Face plate wiggled when ever you pushed the buttons on the bottom I was always afraid of breaking it. Works Great I ordered the charger for my daughter's SUV. She has a Nissan Pathfinder '03. It has an autoreverse function tape deck. As long as you have the tape deck rolling in the correct direction the tape cassette adapter works great. The sound is better than the FM transmitter kind. We have tried every FM transmitter from cheap to expensive and his one is the best. The ONLY issue is that all the adapters do not fit in the back carrying case. Other than that it is a great product even for any price. She uses it for her iPod touch latest generation.
fried my mp3 I just got an Sansa clip mp3 player for my husband's birthday. The first time he tried using it in his truck with the cassette converter and charger it got really hot and the mp3 player wouldn't work anymore. Found other people online who have said the same thing. BE CAREFUL. We are only going to charge the new Sansa clip I just ordered with the computer. Maybe it works with other things but I will not be taking the chance.
