    • Power acoustic 8.3 flip up single din reciever I purchased this power acoustic 8.3 inch flip up screen and have had nothing but problem after problem. It is really piece of junk. It constantly looses memory even after wiring the yellow battery wire directly to the battery. I am not at all satisgied with the radio and most likely not purchase anything else throug amazon.com.
Really extraordinary. This is very complete player is compatibre with almost all auxiliary devices can be installed memory cards plus for mp3 ipo among others the system also is unique to release the screen is very elegant when it saved appears current player. My advice is that before you buy you must be sure that your car is doing well as in some car models hits the handout display when leaving the screen.
      Good but just not there
Great buy for the price! The unit might be the top name brand out there but is the biggest touch screen with at least equal or more options than the top brands. Also no other head unit with this amount of options and screen size would come anywhere near the price of this head unit. I have read previous reviews on this unit. And the ones that degrade it. Look it's not the best no doubt. But I used every function and had been a previous owner of a system I personally paid over $1k from pioneer.
shaking my head Its true u really get what u pay fori wsted time and money ordering this unit. The Graphics are absolutely horrible. The Eq sucks. there is no hi or low pass filter on the unit.
      falty products
      malo
if you like cheap junk in your car this is perfect I believe they won't let me put 0 stars for my review. The clips in the back of mine were so pathetic I had to super glue the entire clips just to keep them on. Before then I had the worst grounding issues speaker cutout and even a power failure while it was locked out in the viewing position. if I could punch the guy in the face who designed this thing that would be the most satisfying thing this company could do for me.
4volts preamp i haven't installed this unit as yet but couldn't help noticing in the users manual and on the boxit says that there are three 2V preamp outputswhere as the add online says three 4V preamp outputs front rear subwoofer. This was one of the reasons for me making this purchase.I do hope there aren't any more disappointments.

Front-panel USB port, SD card slot, auxiliary input; add optional NaviBox-1 for NAVTEQ navigation.Single-DIN DVD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, DivX, MP4, MP3/WMA, AM/FM, Bluetooth receiver.Motorized 8.3-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 400 NIT brightness; secondary DOT display.Built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calls and audio streaming; microphone included.50W x 4 MOSFET amplifier with three 4V preamp outputs (front, rear, subwoofer). When not in use, the screen tucks safely away into the receiver, thanks to Power Acoustik's unique rotating mechanism. A standard DOT display picks up the slack when you're not using it. There's also a standard 3.5-mm auxiliary input, so no matter what your device, chances are you can connect it. Navigation-Ready Just add the optional NaviBox-1 (sold separately), and you'll have a full-featured NAVTEQ navigation system at your fingertips. Get realistic intersection views, turn-by-turn instructions, 2D and 3D map viewing, and plenty more. What's in the Box PTID-8310NRB receiver, Bluetooth microphone, remote control, wiring harness, and installation hardware. A2DP profile support means you can stream audio from compatible devices directly to your stereo, with no cable needed. Power Acoustik's unique rotational mechanism allows a large screen in a single-DIN receiver. Click to enlarge. Remote Included Control unit functions with the provided full-featured remote. 50W x 4 MOSFET Amplifier The built-in 50W x 4 amp provides plenty of output to start with; but for those who want a little more system, three sets of 4V preamp outputs (front, rear, sub) are included. Add some external amps for some chassis-shaking power. Huge 8.3-Inch Screen The PTID-8310NRB boasts an 8.3-inch in-dash screen, for uncompromising entertainment. The motorized, LED-backlit LCD telescopes forward and backward with preset angles. It offers 800 x 480 pixel resolution with a 400 NIT brightness rating, for a picture to rival anything else out there. It's also a touchscreen, for quick and easy navigation of system features. Power Acoustik's going huge with this receiver--the single-DIN unit boasts an 8.3-inch flip-up screen. Yes, you read that right: The company developed a new ultra-slim transport (only half an inch) and rotational mechanism to give you the big picture. It comes with two cages that will allow for hooded dash installs or a flusher install where no hooded dash exists. Enjoy a superb picture with 800 x 480 resolution, playback of your favorite media, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth technology, and then some. You can also add the optional NaviBox-1 for full NAVTEQ navigation.

Front-Panel Inputs You get plenty of input options with this receiver.

      • 52 Watts x 4 peak power with three 2V RCA preamp outputs (rear, front, sub)
      • Great Radio I thought my speakers were bad on my boat till I installed this new radio. It sounds like a concert hall.
Impressive I was hesitant to purchase this unit since a less expensive Sony Marine stereo failed me after about two years. The radio still worked but I had to press the face plate in just to get the buttons to function. However the stereo is mounted in my Jeep Wrangler which seldom has the top up or doors on and is driven offroad in rough desert conditions regularly.Replacing this stereo with my old Sony was a breeze. The wiring adapter and mounting sleeve were identical so I just used the supplied keys to pull the old one out and slide the new one in a 5 minute job at best. After using this stereo for a week now I'm already blown away at its sound and features. I have aftermarket speakers but I rely on the stereo's builtin amp. It sounds far better than the old stereo with plenty of volume to make freeway listening enjoyable. The USB capability is very convenient. I reformatted an old USB thumb drive and loaded over a thousand songs in folders named according to genre. The USB drive plugs into a long cable that is permanently connected to the rear of the stereo which I fed to end in the glove compartment. Songs play off the thumb drive immediately and the stereo scrolls by artist album or title. Finding one song out of the thousand is possible with a welldesigned feature too. After hitting the search button magnifying glass you use the volume knob to scroll through the folders and press the knob to select it. Next you scroll through the songs within that folder alphabetical by artist using the volume knob and press it in again to play the song. During this time the current song still plays so there's no interruption in music. Just be sure you don't rear end somebody while doing all this. For those of you with Droids to play songs off your phone you'd set it up to act as a simple USB device and plug it in USB adapter necessary. I haven't done this yet but it should work like any other USB thumb drive. You can also output your headphone jack directly into the radio's auxillary port but I haven't had a need to.My only gripes are that the left side of the unit is rather complicated so it's possible to accidentally hit the wrong button. It also feels like you have to crank the volume knob just to get a slight difference of volume so when a great song comes on you may need to crank that knob 15 or so clicks.
don't buy it   | 5.0 out of 5 stars Great stereo! Love this stereo! Great quality that I expect from Sony electronics. The stereo is very easy to use and has a handy remote. I can easily adjust volume/channels from my seat on the boat.
Why is the USB in the back? Really nice looking and sounding deck. This was a huge upgrade over factory. The iPod interface works very well but I wish they would've just copied the normal interface it's close but different enough that you have to get used to it. I really like the expansion options for an amp and a dedicated output for the sub including built in low pass filters. I also got the wired remote which is an excellent addition. My one hang up on this unit is that the USB input is in the back. There is a wire so you can run it somewhere but that's just not a very clean install. I had to go buy a USB port to install just so I didn't have a wire flopping around. Overall probably the best for the money but next rev the USB port needs to be above the aux.
Very Nice All Around Marine Deck   | 4.0 out of 5 stars Great radio for the boat I was replacing a Clarion Radio on my Cobalt. This is a much better radio. I am using the AUX in for XM radio input and it works great.
Made Poorly Designed Poorly I purchased 2 of these radios. The first one had a problem with the speaker outputs. One of the channels had no output. So I bought a new one and sent the old one in for a warranty repair being without a stereo for 6 weeks would be unbearable. The second unit came out of the box with a defective Select wheel so I couldn't get it off the demo mode and could not use any features. The only thing I could do was plug my iPhone in. Within 2 weeks the water got to the electronincs inside the radio and made it so the display did not work and the volume control did not work. So now I can only listen to music on my iPhone and at a low to mid volume.I thought the design looked bad when I pulled it out of the box. There are too many places for water to intrude. You can't have a marine stereo with so many intrusion points. I'm moving on to Clarion or some other trusted marine stereo manufacturer.
Very good very capable receiver I have had this receiver in the cabin of my sailboat for about three years now. It drives two speakers in the saloon and two in the cockpit. Plenty of power for normal listening we've rocked the anchorage on several occasions! I particularly like the front AUX input and the iPod dock. We can play music from any source imaginable and even connect the laptop to it to listen to music straight from iTunes and for audio when we watch movies.
Marine Sony head unit Unit installed relatively easily as far as the physical task of mounting. The problem I ran into was that unit had three positive leads with one for a automatic antenna which I did not have on the boat. How many boats do? I have never seen one. The instructions said hook up one or the other. I tried both. No luck. Only after I hooked up both to my Positive wire did the unit work. Wires from unit got pretty short. Sounds great but I am not a demanding user.Kind of inconvenient to flip down face to play a CD but that was known before purchase.Very cool to have ipod/iphone hookup. The remote included is a very pleasant surprise and very useful on our sailboat because unit is mounted inside on the elect. panel not in the cockpit like it would be in a power boat.Amazon was slow to ship but within guidelines.

Rock your boat with superior sound quality and a wealth of music options. The CDX-M60UI marine CD receiver features USB 1-wire, which allows you to connect, control and charge your iPhone, iPod, or Walkman MP3 player. You can also play your CDs loaded with MP3, WMA or AAC songs. Plus, searching for songs is a snap thanks Quick-BrowZer with Jump Mode and Zappin technology. Plus, a flip-down, detachable faceplate, coated circuit board and UV-resistant paint helps keep this radio protected from the elements.

Pioneer AVIC F700BT Navigation Receiver Playback It's been in the shop 3 times in a 3 yr span

Pioneer AVIC-F700BT In-Dash Navigation Audio Receiver with CD Playback and Advanced Voice Controls
      • In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver with CD Player and Built-In Bluetooth
      • Approximately 12 million pre-programmed POIs make it easy to find gas stations, restaurants, ATMs, coffee and more.
      • Use your voice to make calls and control your iPod
      • Built-In SD Card Slot
      • USB Direct Control for portable media
      • Terribke Product This system is garbage after 1 yr and 5 months the system started to just restart itself over and over again. They tried to blame it on the install which was done professionally but I have looked it up and this is a common problem of course they want you to pay $200 to fix it after I paid $850. The software they have is garbage and even trying to do the updates is a challenge. Do yourself a favor buy anything but a pioneer NAVI system or use your money to go on a nice vacation. I just through a lot of money out the window for this terrible product.
Save your Money This receiver was a problem from the start. I had to send it back to Pioneer to be fixed and they sent me somebody else's in return which was older based on the serial number. Slow start up and freezes at times. When the unit worked it worked well. But it should have worked all the time. That's why I paid for a Pioneer and not a Jensen.
Avoid this product AVICF700BT if you can I have not found other incar product as annoying to use as this one. The GPS features are much inferior to other products such as Magellan. The audio sound quality is bad. You can't turn off the radio with a single click anywhere. This is especially annoying during the period when the system is slowly starting up. The bluetooth annoys your listener even more than it does to you. The GPS navigation is way too chatty speaking 5 phrases every single turn. It pronounces 156th Ave as one fifty six tee aych avenue what an idiot!. The iPod player cannot display nonalphnumeric characters for song titles and I was told Pioneer would never support such feature. You cannot select a routing algorithm by trip. You cannot mute or change the volume of the GPS sound without parking your car first. Even when you are not using the GPS you will get a loud GPS signal lost warning occasionally. The UI user interface is obviously designed by programmers who have no clue about what a basic tolerable user experience should be. I wished I had tried the product before paying for the installation. I thought all such incar products should have passed some basic usability check and boy was I wrong.I already upgraded to the latest firmware hoping for improvements but had seen none. I would not buy another Pioneer product even if they pay me.
wasted my time Don't buy this if you ever listen to sports or talk radio on AM. There is no reception. I spent a week in and out of the shop with no results.
Basically A Good Unit But With Quirks That Might Drive You Insane Read the Reviews Carefully Before You Buy First understand this is not a car stereo/GPS unit. It's a computer with audio and GPS capabilities meaning that it has to boot before it works. With the latest firmware upgrade mine boots in 4560 seconds.HighsAwesome sound.Excellent GPS if antenna installed properly. I've been especially pleased with the you need to be in one of these lanes feature at freeway interchanges.
Good system for the money I have owned this for a little over a year now it was a Christmas gift in 2008. I love fact that it is all in one and most of the time moving between features XM to maps to GPS is fairly straightforward. I also like that the XM info is so detailed much more so than with the portable unit I used before. On the whole I am happy I bought it though I have a few wish list things I wish it did or didn't do.Issues I have with itThe GPS system talks too much. It tells you to turn left in ### miles quarter miles and feet multiple times. I haven't figured out a way to shut it up so if someone else who owns it has please share.
It's been in the shop 3 times in a 3 yr span I have never seen anything like this. First time we had to take it back for repair it was only 4 months old so after several weeks waiting they decided to replace it with a refurbished unit it worked for about a 20 months but for no rhyme or reason it would not boot up so it went back to the Pioneer repair center and they repaired one more time this time I had to wait 4 weeks. 10 months later I had to send it in again. I would change products but unfortunately I purchased several of the options like the steering wheel control iPod connection and Bluetooth.
Good Overall Once you update to FW 3.0 the system is great.
Several issues No maps from outside US The product functionality is great. The concept the value for the money. But the unit has several quality issues. My bluetooth stopped working after a year use and had to send it for service cause it started to boot over and over. Hope pioneer improves these products. Honestly I would think twice after buting another unit from them.
TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK! I bought this unit to replace my wife's stock radio. Installation went smoothly the most difficult part was removing the trim. THEN I TURNED IT ON AND IT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE! First it would reboot whenever we had the iPod playing video then it would reboot even if the iPod was connected and not playing and then it continued to freeze and reboot regardless of function selected. I sent it in to service under warranty with the entire litany of problems and they reinstalled the memory and called it good. THEY HAD IT IN REPAIR FOR ONE WHOLE HOUR!!! And since I couldn't get the time to tear apart the dash again and install it within the 90 day warranty period it'll cost me $200 to have it fixeda feat they have yet to show that they're capable of doing.

      • Sylvania DVD Actually loved this item for my daughter. The picture was so clear and it was nice and compact. Problem is it broke in less than a month. Now we are trying to send it back to get repaired and we have to pay $8.00 right off the bat plus shipping. On top of it he said we would probably end up with a refurbished one. My husband basically told them that we bought it new and we want a new sent to us not a used one. Very disappointing.
suddenly stops working We initially bought one which worked great for my 3 year old for traveling however not even a month later and it went from working absolutely fine to suddenly not reading any dvd's. No matter what we did it would just spin and spin saying loading and then eventually give up and say no disc. Not sure what was wrong but we were about to leave for another trip so exchanged it for a new one. Again worked absolutely great for not even a month. We watched one movie with no problems took it out put in a new dvd and it did the exact same thing would not recognize it. Put in the movie which we had just watched.. wouldn't recognize it. Tried again for the heck of it a few hours later no luck. Although when it was working it was great would not recommend this at all as it just suddely stops working for no reason and is definitely not reliable.
Sylvania portable DVD This product has been everything I expected. It has held up with my grandchild using it. I would buy another one.
I am very impressed I bought two of these for my young grandchildren. I was skeptical of the price but I knew the Sylvania name was a good product. I am very pleased and happy that I bought these. They are just what I was looking for Good Quality but low price which is very hard to find these days. Thank you Sylvania and Thank you Amazon.

Never Worked This DVD player was broken right out of the box. It turned on but could not play any of the DVDs we put in there. Don't buy it.
portable player My kids were super excited to get this portable dvd player for Christmas and I was super excited to get it at such a good price. It even came with a car charger.
Great product! Great for my two year old to watch his DVDs on. It saved the day! Battery life is as stated. Also loved that it came with remote cables to hook up to tv car charger and plug for indoors.
Great for the price! I purchased a Mintek about 15 years go which by the way is still working. Purchased this so I could leave my Mintek at home when on trips. This is an EXCELLENT DVD player which also plays DVDs with JPEG images. It has customizable brightness saturation hue and contrast. It also comes with a REMOTE car charger and video cables. You can't beat this price for all you receive. I just might purchase another one to give as a gift to someone. I'm very impressed wtih the quality. I like that the power light turns blue while watching a movie.
Cheap DVD player You get what you pay for should be what this DVD player is called. I received it yesterday inserted a DVD and three things popped out at me.1 It feels cheap. You can actually feel the control buttons click when you click them. The plastic case squeaks when you squeeze it just a little.2 The picture on the LCD screen is very grainy which is multiplied when you think it is only a 7 inch screen.3 The volume when turned all the way up is barely heard even with several sets of headphones. If someone is talking or the TV is on you literally cannot hear anything on the DVD player.I am sending it back today and will buy one that is twice the price. As they say buy cheapbuy twice.Don't waste your money on this player.
