Awesome if you install right and not ignorant. plays mp4s off of my usb drive and plays burned movies while driving. For a cheap double din touch screen its great! The sound is pretty dang good for how cheap this thing is I never new my speakers had a little bump in them until I hook this puppy up! I rate it 5 stars because it does everything it says and is exactly as described. If you get a defective unit then I'd have it replaced or buy a new one and try again or dish out $400$1000 on a better one.
Do not buy this.. Ok i did not read the reviews and now i wish i would have.. It looks ok but not great in my 2005 chevy silverado.. hooked up farily easy but thats were the good stuff stops..turn it on and it sucks it has less audio controls than my stock cd player.. no background images just a blue screen what is up with that.. just leason to the reviews and dont buy this product everything i have seen boss produce has been crap..
Like it alot! The first unit order was crap so I sent it back and got another. Shiping was great and simple no cost to return *other than time. second unit is great it works vary well for the price was surprise! Sounds great with my ford fusion factory speakers plenty of power and monitor is awesome as well. 3 mos.
I Just Dont Understand!! Got this system yesterday.. had it installed today and while sitting at the audio shop a cd worked and dvd worked.. went to buy the new Carter IV by Lil Wayne and the disc will not play.. tried different cds and dvds and nothing works.. i cannot connect any USB item ipod or hard drive.. tried to buy something cheap and cheap it seems is what i got.. brand new system and it wont play a brand new CD.. never heard of anything like it!! i will review the BOSS website as well!! I wouldnt purchase this item..
Good This product is easily installed and uninstalled. My husband has had to put this is 4 vehicles so far. The only thing he was disappointed in is this product does not come with the equipment needed to use some of the functions navigation.All in all he is thrilled with this product. He watches DVD's in his car on his lunch breaks at work.

touch screen stopped working I installed this in a customers car and 2 days later the touch screen stopped working. Reset doesn't fix.it and the usb doesn't work. ugly interface and radio channels aren't clear. What a piece of crap.

DVD player everything is great brand new still in package and plastic. looks great sounds great even plays my dvd i bought while i was in iraq. the only down fall is it won't let me change the bass and treble.

The stereo says that it has lots of functions and most of them dont work!! i couldnt get the stereo to play a simple video!! its way too slow the stereo scratches itself all the time when the screen gets in and out of the stereo I have to push the buttons 3 to 6 times to get the screen out or in the control doesn't work from 2 feet away I have to point directly to the stereo inside the car no hopes to use it outside the car because it won't work! it's very fancy and everything but that's it. I don't need a stereo that it's slow and very defective. I am tremendously disappointed with you guys because the item does not performs many of the functions described on the item description.I am a regular customer of yours and none of my other items were defective like this stereo. I really like your service and products but if you don't fix this problem as soon as possible I might not buy from you guys anymore.I HONESTLY DEMAND MY MONEY BACK!Thanks for the taking the time to read my review.

I picked 4 stars for a reason. First of all i want to say everything it says it does it does. I screwed up when i was helping my uncle install this into my car i didn't ground the pink wire i just put tape over it HUGE MISTAKE because it has to be grounded to metal or else if you put a dvd in it just plays sound. Soo anyways the screen goes in and out pretty fast and it is really good quality it does greatly improve my stereo system and even tho i dont have subs i only have 300wat infinity speakers in the bak they do quite the bumping.
dont buy do not buy this radio i bought one and i wish i would of bought a real flip up radio.
cheap for a reason installed in a 2004 saturn ion. no video features worked. couldn't get bluetooth to connect. the touchscreen lagged horrible it took 3 to 5 seconds to change the radio station or to switch from aux to radio to cd. i loved the look of it because it is flashy but the product itself hardly did anything it was advertised to do.

Great unit for price DVD backup camera radio I pod plus all the other functions which came with this unit. Something I have been wanting without spending $500 to enjoy. Recommended for the person who wants to spice up their options and keep up with the technology being placed inside vehicles into today's world. The backup camera was perfect for snow plowing this winter so far to be able to see directly behind me and get as close as I can to objects without damaging anything of mine or anyone else's.

Good tv radio I bought this radio last year had it put in my 1981 chevy malibu had it for about two months and lost the face changing cars.But let me tell you is a great buy was looking for a tv radio with the face that comes off was just what I was looking for plusa good price. When it was put in my car let me tell u I thought my sounds hit hard before this radio. But really wasn't till Ihad this one put in it had my 3 12 cvrs with a BD 1000 amp and cross over and highs amp slamming.Radio still in car but had to buy a second one because face just as high as buying it all over again will get to play withit some more when I pull the toy back out and will make sure I'll take care of the face this time so I willhave two of these radio's and one face will put other one in my other car. Only dislike is that I thought all theaux cords it came with would have worked with my I phone but have to buy the cord for the phone.
wasnt very pleased I read many reveiws on this stereo and it all sounded good so i took a chance and bought it. when i got the stereo it wasnt even in its orginal box. it was wrapped n plastic. the parts to lock the stereo in place was not in the box and neither was the warrenty. i did buy it from the warehouse but i figured it would still be in a box and have all the parts. when i got it installed there was no sound. everything else worked. i thought maybe i had hooked it up wrong which is almost impossible since they r color coded and i hadnt. so i had to send it back. i really wished it would have worked. amazon did take it back and refunded my money.

The stations will change instantly.ConsRemote Really difficult to use the remote at night. Remote has to be pointing directly at the unit.Also there is no manual volume adjuster. You have to have some skill at adjusting the touch screen volume.Along with that there isInterface Could use some work. Doesn't bother me but the interface options could be easier to use.OVERALL Your getting a heck of a deal!! More than worth it. A lot of higher end ones will cost around 700 or more.
Awesome product! Love this unit! I installed it into my Chrysler 300 and it is amazing I love the sound the DVD quality is great the controls are fairly simple and the detachable faceplate is a wonderful feature. All the wires were marked this unit came with more than I expected for RCA outs it has a set for Front Rear and Sub to your amplifier. Looks great and sounds great in my car.The only downfall I have is the GUI is not great and there are no more than 3 GUI's programmed.
Buyer Beware Do Not Purchase This Item As the title states don't bother purchasing this item unless you enjoy returning products. Does not work as advertised the picture clearly shows a bluetooth icon on the bottom row second to right. But it does not have bluetooth apparently the model PTID7002nrb is the one that includes bluetooth yet they use one picture for both products. DVD player did not work at all it would display 'ERR Disc' after trying to load it I even tried a brand new DVD right out of the package only to see the same message. USB flash drive of 8 GB did not work either as the screen would just freeze when trying to load it although the instructions did state a 16GB flash drive would work so I'm wondering if perhaps that's the only size that will work correctly. But I do not have the interest of finding out because I am returning this junk of a product. The only thing that worked correctly was the radio but would get a fuzzy background sound if turned up as was mentioned by a previous reviewer. And also the SD card adapter did work but the display looks like something out of the 80's. David Hasselhoff had a better display in Knight Rider. You get what you pay for so now I'm going to pay a little more for a better system. I should have listened to the other reviewers and avoided this mishap but never again.. AVOID TRUST ME.

picture is diseving I come to a package at my door and am so excited that it was my radio. Im upset because clearly this picture shows it has bluetooth and if I'm not mistaken i read something about bluetooth. well it docent and I'm disappointed that now I'm going to have to return this item.
Disappointed I knew I was buying a lower tier stereo when I got this but I took a chance and it was worse than I expected. The screen quality is bad. The video quality is bad. Very hard too see in daylight and not really that much better at night. I pretty much expected it due to the other reviews on here but once I actually saw it for myself I just didn't like it. If you are at all picky about your sound quality and like to have options to adjust it to your liking this stereo is not for you. If you are coming from a stock stereo with stock speakers then you may be happy with this item. I was not and should have known better. Also I thought not having a physical volume knob would be alright but the on screen volume control is a pain. Probably wouldn't recommend this item.Amazon was excellent though. Received fast and the return was fast. This was my first purchase from Amazon and I will definitely be back.
Good replacement over stock has some minor flaws. I bought this unit to replace the stock unit in my 2002 Audi A6. I was sick of listening to my zune over the fm transmitter and not being able to hear any details of the music.PROS Has tons of nice features and hookups GPS Bluetooth Ipod etc. Nice large touchscreen interface Double Din size single din slot! AUX in my stock did not haveCONS If you turn the volume up about half way on the unit there is an annoying buzzing noise. You can only drown it out with loud music. So far this happens over AUX in only with any device or cable I use. The volume control is awful. While in Aux in mode you have to touch the volume button small button at top of screen then tap or hold a small round + or sign. If you are driving and trying to adjust the volume its EXTREMELY dangerous. The + or button are about 1/4 size on the screen and if you miss them it will exit out of the volume adjustment mode so you have to press the volume button all over again. The only way I have prevented this is to turn the volume half way up when I first start the car then adjust the volume on my mp3 player mounted to dash while driving. I can see no safe way to adjust the volume on this device while driving unless you have a passenger do it for you.All in all this is a great replacement for my stock unit. Its well worth the money and has tons of features packed in. I'm glad I bought this but it could use a few tweaks.

Great for the money Great for the money. iPod connectivity works well for playing music only a few strange issues with getting it to play but we're always able to get past them by unplugging and plugging back in. Everything works very well except the bluetooth. It's a little buggy with the iPhone . Worked fine at first but not now. Althouth it shows it's connected to the phone and we have two different iphones that connect itdoesn't route any microphone or audio output through bluetooth anymore. Haven't tried to solve that problem yet possibly a firmware/software upgrade for the VZ400 that addressed this?.

Amazing System! Bluetooth Audio Navigation System HD Radio and so much more! Where to begin? I love this stereo! I bought my Clarion VZ400 this Spring 2010 along with the HD Radio addon box. I was looking everywhere for a quality stereo with the HD Radio feature and Bluetooth Audio capability at a decent price. I definitely wanted to be able to stream Pandora from my cell phone over the Bluetooth no problem at all.Over time I've upgraded this stereo to include the NP400 Navigation System and also installed a real nice Backup Camera. Everything plugs in and just works! I don't know why the other reviewers have had problems with their units. Must be user error for not knowing what they are doing or possibly just a defective stereo?If you want a full feature stereo that fits into a single DIN slot this is a great bargain for the $300 price tag. It's really convenient to be able to upgrade over time like I did or just buy all the addons at once.
Its not what i spect to be.. I dont like it. Its soppuse to be a good dvd player but it doesnt mine the screen jump a little but its annoying also the screen is not frim enough its move alone to back when you touch it also some times the bluetooth doesnt work properly. So i dont recomend anyone to buy this clarion..
love this head unit been looking for a multi media head unit this thing was the perfect fit for the system in my truck.
Exactly as Expected I purchased and had this product installed in my truck and am completely satisfied with it. I only wish it had more input/output controls for use with my system. Other than that the condition is perfect and the usability is perfect.
DO NOT BUY DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I have had this product for almost 2 months and the problems are just becoming longer and longer. The software is nothing but problems. If you are using the bluetooth which does not always work after you hang up the phone the radio will come on at the same sound as the radio. That means that the radio will came on with deafing sound. If you try to lower the sound the radio will not work. You have to shut down the entire radio and then start it back up. Also if you install sirius radio do not have kids. I love sirius radio but the radio liked stations that i did not use like playboy. Yes the radio desided to start up with playboy radio everytime. There is more but i will save you with time by saying DO NOT BUY. I would like to thank Amazon.com for understating and giving me a full refund.

The only thing the manual does not tell you about a few wires and where they go or what they do??/such as IR in A/D A/D grnd and the reverse wire.
great raido i bought this item on tuesday and i installed it yesterday. the radio works great. i put this on my 2002 Honda Civic. I had no problems when putting it on.
Nice for the Price This Double Din workday real good. The fault there is a little static when Ipod is on the loop. Other than that gray light great sound. For the price you pay for it this item is very good. It has upgraded since the last one I bpuht in 2009. It is an easy set up. So I would recommend anyone buying one.

Overall great value Well I just installed it today and for the price it is a great stereo. The installation manual was no help oh wait thats right there WASN'T ONE! You'll have to just go off of your old stereo and just match up color to color.After it was all hooked up the DVD had no picture because of the safety in it so you can't watch a movie while you drive. So again with no installation manual it was trial and error to get the picture to come up was finally able to figure it out. In the source menu there are alot of options such as bluetooth but I couldn't figure it out! There is a Mic on the front of the stereo but have not been able to get the bluetooth function to work. If there is no bluetooth function then don't put a bluetooth function icon in the menu. Other than that the picture quality for the DVD is great and the sound quality is excellent! Overall it is a great buy.
Have to give at least 1 star We got this because of price the price was right but if your looking to not spend alot of money this is not the right product for you In the long run it cost alot because it does not come with adapters gps xm radio or any of the extra antennas. The touch is not very good on the screen there is not a dim switch so it is very bright at night almost blinding. The product is very big so be ready to hack your car to get it to fit. we also bought the headrest and you can not listen to the radio if you are watching a dvd in the back seat. and you can not put your screen to sleep when a dvd is in so you get a extreme bright blue screen! you will spend less if you just spend a little more.
Pyle Stereo Great stereo for the price. Decent picture and sound. But when attached to ipod there is a substantial amount of background noise and could def use a few extras like some sort of visualization to accompany the music.

good buy for the price i must say i really bought this just for the dvd player & the usb port . i must say the dvd works perfect the only problem i had in my opinion was that the quality of sound could have been a little clearer even with original cds i am a fanatic or quality sound while the players takes too long to load usb when it put it on especially if you are loading more than 8 10 gigs of music . On the whole the player cannot read more than 1416 gigs or memory . ohterwise it is a great item for the price .

Boss BV9996B, Hi Guys,
I bought the mentioned unit in the title and I am having problems reading SD Cards of a particular size. I bought for myself a 32 and 64 Gig SD Card. To my surprise the radio gave me an error on the display "Bad Card". My only assumption is the radio cannot read cards above a particular size. I tried a 8 gig and 16 gig and I got the same error.
Can someone please confirm for me the actual size of SD Card this radio can read please. I will be most dissapointing if it can only read up to 2 or 4 gigs.
Boss BV9996B, The Product arrived on the correct day and upon inspection, every thing worked properly. I would certainly refer this item to any other buyers who have considered purchasing it.
Nice.. however..., I love my new stereo. Is working great. The only problem that I am having is a little interference in low volume in the speakers. I am looking for any solution for this. I think that some kid of filter could be work. However, the stereo works very good. Also, I had to buy an RCA adapter due this stereo only has one RCA subwoofer outlet.
