Works great except for the automatic feed function on my dash I bought this camera with the Pyle PLTS77DU 7Inch Touchscreen Monitor. I also reviewed that which has a lot of the same info as this..I installed the unit myself in a Mitsubishi galant 2003. It was surprisingly easy even though I only had basic wiring skills. I also installed a back up camera at the same time.

Rear View Camera I purchased this Pyle PLCM22IR Flush Mount Rear View Camera for an add on to my audio/video setup. I had it installed as an after market add on to my JVC receiver. I have the comfort of mind knowing that when I back up I can see any obstacles and if I get to close there is a sounding beeping alert.
versatile mounting I bought a stereo that had option for a reverse camera. This little unit is hooked up to it and wworks nicely. Daytime use is great however it struggles at nighttime but if your reverse lights are good it should work fine for you. It came with a hole saw to drill a hole where it needs to mount. I mounted mine in the ceter of my rear license plate. It also helps when hooking up trailers to my hitch. My truck is extremely tall so it is comforting being able to see when backing up especially in public parking areas. I have a winch front bumper that protrudes out about a foot or more which I plan on muonting another camera there also. As one reviewer mentioned it does better if mounted high if you are using it for 'close contact' prevention.THe bottom line I would buy another one if I needed one.
good value nice camera Installed replacing an universal camera with this same dimensions in my car. This camera have a 'good' but not the best image on my screen average image at night. It's a excellent budget choice it came with the tool to open the hole and the cables to do the connection. Feels to be well built only hoping this one don't die on me as fast as the previous one from a universal brand.

At day light the vision quality is good but at night with lights at the back the vision is acceptable and with no ligths at he back the vision is unacceptable. I also have a backup sensor installed and that's makes me feel more secure at the time of backup at night time. Some time ago I had been hit from the back It was not a Big impact and the impact was not over the camera but after that the Video comes with some distorsions or interferences. But the my daily issue is the dust and dirty that the camera gets on the crystal so in the Night is a big deal beacuse view is blocked.
Not bad so far I just mounted this camera and do not yet know about its durability over time but will update this post if anything changes.The picture is more than adequate in daytime but I do notice a slight flicker when I hit bumps I can turn on the camera independently of just being in reverse with my Pioneer Nav unit. The flicker makes me wonder if it will last. It more than suits its purpose of a backup camera. It is not meant to shoot movies or anything. My observationsI tried to test locations using a 13VDC transformer that works on pretty much everything else I have tried including Lowrance Marine Chart Plotters but it did not power this camera and it only showed a white screen with lines on it. I almost wrote it off as defective but tried battery power as a last resort. Worked fine IDK why the transformer didnt work with itCamera seems well built. I read a thread where a guy said he disassembled one of these and replaced the Orings I have no idea how he did that. This is like a solid machined piece of aluminum. I dont see any way to open it up. It seems like it should not leak though as there are no holes or visible screw heads.My mounting notesI mounted it where the license plate light does aim pretty much at it but it doesnt seem to affect it that much.
Rear View camera Not and HD camera but sure has a resolution that can make things look like you are looking right out your window. Has a sturdy construction and connectors have a snug fit. Night vision actually works.
Works As Advertised Installed it on the bumper of my 2002 GMC Envoy No drilling on my truck. It worked perfectly when I finally connected the power source red wire grounded it black wire and connected the RCA cable to my new DVD/Video/TV dashboard unit. No installation instructions were included in the package although I found a manual online. Now I enjoy rear viewing from my vehicle while I am backing up my SUV from the garage. Viewing clear during the day but partially unclear at night. Bottom line glad I purchased it.
Very clear video What a difference from my previous camera. This was inexpensive yet provided a clear picture in most lighting conditions. I will buy another one of these if I need more.

Big mistake very cheap product with no support I bought these because we were taking a vacation with two young grandsons. I immediately tried out the main dvd player but not the slave. It worked ok. picture was poor to fair quality. But when we tried to put them in the car we discovered that the installation manual was in FRENCH!!! The slaver did not work at all and not being fluent in French I couldn't figure out if I was doing something wrong or if it was a bad machine. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Iread the reviews when I bought it. Most were positive. But tonight when I read them to see if someone had written about the same problem I found horrible reviews. Hmmmm.. good buy It is a good buy for the price. only little issue movie dosn't play where it left off.It restart every time. picture is good so far i am happy with it. excellent buy This was a last minute buy for a road trip after our old Dual DVD Player stopped working It's excellent!Don't be fooled by the ones that can play two different DVDs unless your kids are old enough for headphones it won't work out!The only two things I have to criticize is that it needs better straps to hold it to the headrest. AWESOME CONCEPT Poor quality Purchased for a recent trip to FL. Worked great on the way down kids even asked why we bothered with dvds since the SD card worked so well. Easy for them to pick and choose their content with ease. Used a little wallet to hold sd cards and they were set.Until it failed. Only used for less than 15 hours and then the main screen failed. Not too much longer and the remote screen then became too dark to use.Really too bad. The card was great price was good and let me get rid of a bunch of space wasting and easily damaged dvds. Reliability issue I bought this product in Dec 2011. Within 4 monthwarranty 90days only The screen went fuzzy. Sylvania will do nothing for you. However Amazon awesome service ship me a new one with no problem. Let see how long this unit will last. Reading online lots of people have this issue too. Great Entertainment at a Great Price Nice video on both screens although the volume on the 2nd monitor is lower than I would like. The best way to use these is to store your movies on an SD Card get at least a Class 6 SD Card. The documentation is very limited and I could not find a list of supported formats but AVI works for me. Works Good Put a large SD card in there and was able to fit a lot of media for the kids to watch on vacations. Takes a little effort to hook the screens up on the head rests but once things are in place it works well. I'm pretty happy with the value since it comes with two screens. Started great ended not so great. My sons are 4 and 2. We have a Dodge Durango and the seats are shaped tapered at the top but no separate headrests so any portable DVD player is a pain to get them to work exactly the way I wanted them to. Regardless how Dodge shapes the Durango seat is not Syvania's problem.I bought these DVD players under a year ago for trips to the grandparents an hour away and for putting around town. I chose these specific DVD players rather than other more heavily reviewed and higher recommmended players because it's the only brand I could find that has an SD card and USB slot. This was a HUGE selling point to me because I backup quite a bit of media to my home media server and can easily dump movies on a flash drive or SD card. It also saves wear and tear on DVDs. We all know how kids are with DVDs. Regardless the feature worked great until the DVD door decided to malfunction. Now in order to get the thing to work we have to press against the door where it closes so the switch inside recognizes that it's closed. This has to be done numerous times before it will play before it will play anything DVD USB or SD. >> ?!?!?! So once that's done it's good to go. There is a cable for feeding video and power that plugs into the second unit. This is a bad thing. Kids like cables cables that dangle. These cables dangle. My kids liked them and pulled them and tore the video cable out of the second unit leaving the plug so that's #2 down the drain. Making the DVD players able to play separate movies would have been ideal. Needless to say I'm shopping around for another better set of DVD players. Very good product second screen die after couple month Good for the price I bought for $75 and returned when second screen died after couple month.You can not open the disk door with the headrest straps on. Crap! My husband got this thing professionally installed by a sound shop and it only worked for one day. Then it burned out! The eject button burned on the inside and the screen wouldn't close all the way any more. The CD wouldn't eject and everything stopped working but the radio. Definitely buyer beware on this one!!
